Yitzhak Arad is an Israeli historian, author, retired IDF brigadier general and a former Soviet partisan, director of Yad Vashem from 1972 to 1993. He specialised in the history of the Holocaust.
After re-reading Browning's magnificent book in this series I was optimistic about this volume, not to say it is poor history, but it was just largely redundant with the Browning. Also for some odd reason it was absolutely RIDDLED with spelling and punctuation errors.
