A Christmas book with a unique "snow globe" novelty on the cover- kids can flip the book upside-down and right-side-up to make the glitter and shapes float, fly, and decorate the Christmas tree!
When Mr. and Mrs. Bear find that their extra-big Christmas tree won't fit in their house, they cut off the top half and share it with Mr. Fox and his son saying, "We took our tree and made it two. One half for us, one half for you." The Foxes love their new tree, but then they remember Old Rabbit, who lives alone. So the Foxes give half of their tree to Old Rabbit. And in turn, Old Rabbit gives part of his tree to a mouse family.
The cover of the book features a fabulous, tree-shaped gel pouch filled with sparkly, festive glitter and foil bells, stars, and more!
Every year before Christmas Eve dinner, our family reads a children's book about Christmas (this year, my youngest niece was 4 and oldest nephew 9). I bought this book for the occasion because it made me cry in the bookstore when I was reading it.
Four animal families share a Christmas tree - the spirit of the season. Everyone absolutely loved it and took turns reading it. Very cool.
This book is definitely a favorite. I used to take this one to the elementary school and then let the children make a Christmas tree craft. I love this book because it talks about sharing. The true Christmas spirit is about giving.
I had to go to so much trouble to get this book, couldn't find it in libraries, didn't have it at any local bookstores. But it was so cute! Basically the story of a bunch of animals who end up sharing a Christmas tree by each cutting it into a smaller tree to pass along to their neighbours. My 3.5 year old loved it and read it 4 times right in a row when we got it! A very sweet Christmas story that isn't hokey and has the added benefit of a glittery front page. Totally recommend.
This book is a family favorite every year during the holidays. It's a very sweet story about a family sharing one Christmas tree with three other families. It's lovely, heartfelt, and never fails to bring a tear to my eyes. Should be a classic. If only more people knew about it!
