As an introduction to Sherlock Holmes stories, this simplified edition (aimed at 14-16 year old non native speakers) was an ok read. The three stories that are told in this book are:
- The Speckled Band - The Five Orange Pips - The Crown of Diamonds
Luckily I also have a non simplified edition with SH stories (that also includes the first two stories from this edition) and I hope the 'real' stories are less straightforward than these. But I believe that this edition is an excellent and challenging read for students learning English.
