Introductory Russian Grammar 2e
This Russian text attempts to combine the advantages of the traditional grammatical approach to the study of foreign language with certain features of modern conversational, inductive method. A great variety of drill materials has also been supplied, to the extent that no separate workbook or reader is believed necessary. Thus the book can be used as a first-year textbook which is complete in itself.

According to my Russian instructor, Stilman's "Introductory Russian Grammar" is noteworthy for its lack of typographical errors and comprehensive treatment of grammar.
My instructor said that most current textbooks use a more communicative approach, but are riddled with typographical errors. In fact, he spotted several errors in the textbook we were using as we went along, and said the publisher was responding to his corrections as they issued new editions.
In pre-Internet days, Stilman's "Introductory Russian Grammar" was followed by a year or two working through "Russian: A Practical Grammar with Exercises", by Pulkina.
Stillman remains one of my favorites for reference, with its handy and usable tables for both nouns and verbs. I highly recommend it for beginning or intermediate Russian learners who would like to refer to a readable explanation of individual points of grammar, or a way to look up conjugations and declensions.

Я прочитаю целую книгу! Отлычный учебник! Я ещё не говорю или пишу очень хорошо, но я понимаю гораздо лучше. По-моему, этот учебник лучше, чем Penguin Russian Course--книгу, которую много люди рекомнедуют. Жаль, что в учебнике нет ключа к ответу.

Not bad for an old textbook from the 70's that I found on Ebay for a few dollars.
