I’ve had a no dating rule for years. After my life fell apart so spectacularly that I ended up on the streets, I struggled to trust people. So when a too-handsome-for-his-own-good biker waltzes into my life, I want to keep him at a distance. But he’s not the type to deny himself what he wants, and he’s not taking no for an answer. And when my closest friend gets hurt because of him, I have to choose between being alone or giving him a chance to make things right.
She’s my new addiction.
After getting caught partaking in the product, I’ve got bullshit coming out of my ears to make up for it. I need a new vice to keep me straight. When the perfect distraction walks into the club, I can’t deny I want more. She’s a secret seductress wrapped in a delightful package. So when an old enemy puts her on his radar, I’m going all in to keep her. Because even at my lowest, I’m not someone to be fucked with. And when it comes to her, I’m not screwing around. She’s mine.
A.F. Montoya is a daydreamer turned writer who writes contemporary mafia romances. She’s been reading romance novels since her mother bought her one as a joke when she was a teen and now writes them and shares them with her mother, much to her chagrin. She enjoys reading in her spare time and supporting other authors. When she isn’t writing or thinking about new book ideas she is supporting her husband and kids.
Awesome read. It was so fantastic, I absolutely loved Clink and Sam’s story ❤️❤️❤️ they were both dealing with pasts that twisted them up. Sam lost her parents young, her family disowned her, she was a lost soul. Clink was a recovering addict until he wasn’t, hooked again he kept saying just one more. Could they be each other’s salvation. I was thoroughly entertained throughout this book. It had everything you’d ever want in an MC story, jealous, mouthy club girls, chaos and drama coming up against their enemy. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
There were a lot of things that were different that made this MC booknstand out. Mostly, it was a smooth plot with enough on the line + cool, bit flawed main characters.
😎 Riley, being a female electrician, was cool AF. She was a girly girl with a cool job. I liked how different that was, not a baker or a waitress, just a woman in a regular job. Her purpose at the clubhouse makes sense, and I love how grounded her character was. In the hands of a lesser author, Riley would be all smirks, dressed like a boy with a Pretty in Pink moment of finally dressing up to tease her guy. Not here. Riley is self-possessed, strong but vulnerable. Her backstory was oh so sad but not for the norm reasons. Instead, she's dealing with a toxic family and recovering from homelessness. The overarching themes about the love of found family really rang true
👌🏾 Clink as an MMC was a hard sell. He was an addict through the whole book, but I greatly appreciated how the author shows us his struggle. Recently relapsed he wants to get clean from the bl0w but keeps coming back for just one more. I liked viewing his perspective. He is a reliable man for the most part, great with numbers, and would never have been considered an Officier position if his past drug abuse was brought to light. I had concerns for him losing it all, but he fits Riley to a T.
🥰 romance was good and solid with decent smex scenes. A little vanilla but hot. It felt like we were in the exploration phase.
All in all I enjoyed this quick read. It hit different notes but did it so well.
I loved Sam and Clink’s story! The way Sam was treated by her family and the church made me so mad. So many people have been hurt and guilted by the families who were supposed to love them. So many people have been harmed by church members who judged them. The message Tyson said about examining relationships is such an important part of self discovery in recovery. Kudos to the author for her honest portrayal of addiction in this story. I hope it will inspire others to take steps to aid in their recovery. Can’t wait to read the next book.
Oh I loved this book. I loved Clink since the first book. I couldn’t wait to get his story. I say reading the first 3 books. This one by far is the best!!! Especially Allie and Knox book. I loved Sam she was perfect for Clink. They were perfect together. Happy to finally see the villain go down!!! Hope to see this couple in the next few books!
Love this series. And I need more asap. This and reapers story are my favorite!! Was definitely not disappointed with this one. I love clink. From being someone who used to be addicted I felt likw i connected with him sm.
