This never should have happened… He was supposed to be off limits. After all, my brother's best friend was the one I couldn’t have. There were lines that should never be crossed. At least until one fateful night That changed everything forever. Now we hated each other And nothing was going to change that. Ever. Or so I thought… Shattered Saint is the first book in a dark college romance trilogy that has enemies-to-lovers themes. This book may not be suitable for all readers due to dubious situations that might be triggering. It ends in a cliffhanger and the next book in the series will be Shattered Sinner. This story takes place in the Brentson University world.

"Deep down, I knew that this was only the beginning of whatever the hell he was doing. Because ever since we first met, things with him and me were never that simple."

Bianca, the mayor's daughter, struggled with being trapped in a life filled with family expectations. Easton, her brother Nash's best friend and the boy who took her virginity, was back in her life at Brentson University and everything between them became complicated. Easton broke his promise to her brother not to pursue her but he was determined to get what he wanted and he blackmailed her as well in order to get it.

Easton remained somewhat of a mystery to me as I could tell there was so much more to him than what could be seen on the surface and I was intrigued enough to want to learn more. I liked how he cared about Bianca underneath his bad boy attitude. He wasn't just another rich kid feeling entitled to anything he wanted. I wish Bianca would have stayed true to her convictions and been more sure of herself. I could feel the pain and anxiety she experienced in her enemies with benefits arrangement with Easton as well as the stress she felt from dealing with the consequences of growing up in a world full of power and privilege.

Although I was drawn into the story, I thought it would have been so much darker than it was. Conversations seemed forced and somewhat awkward while descriptions of the characters and their actions were repetitive at times and too focused on minor, insignificant details. The plot often focused on what was going on with Nash and that took away from Bianca and Easton. Because I hadn't read the Devious trilogy or the Westwick duet, I felt as if I was missing too much of the background story so maybe their stories were further intertwined. Just when I thought I could sense the direction the story was going, the cliffhanger raised more questions than answers but it did set the stage for the beginning of what's to come.

** Special thanks to author Bri Blackwood for sending me this ARC to read and review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. Available June 1, 2023. **

Book besties let me introduce Bianca and Easton 🥹👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤌🏼 Bianca is the bestie we all love and truly a broken princess. Easton is the wealthy hot shot who has an inner cinnamon roll when it comes to B. He would do anything to be with her including lying to his best friend and blackmail.

The cliffhanger will leave you without a parachute which seems to be Bri’s speciality and why I immediately told her we were fighting 😂

Do yourself a favor read this book. And pick up Biancas besties book “𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙻𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝙱𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚑” so you can get the FULL picture.

I have been dying to read Easton and Bianca's story! Shattered Saint overlaps events that happen in both the Brentson University Series (Nash and Raven) and Westwick University Series (Iris and Soren). Easton is Nash's best friend, Bianca is Nash's sister and Iris's best friend. Each of Bri Blackwood's series stand alone but they all take place in the same universe with some overarching story lines, so I recommend you start with the Broken Cross series and read her entire catalogue.

This book had me sucked in from page 1, I have been anticipating this story since we first meet Bianca and Easton in the Brentson University Series. Brother's best friend and secret relationships are some of my favorite tropes. I love the layers of danger woven throughout this universe, it really raises the stakes. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

Holy smoke, we meet Bianca in the Devious Trilogy. We knew something was happening with her well now that she is getting her own trilogy to tell her story. And boy, do her and Easton have a story to tell. This book we see her and Easton point of view from different scenes in the Devious Series and in the Westwick duet. This book had me wanting more, and with that cliffhanger, I can't wait for the second book.

Get ready for a roller coaster adventure with this book! I’ve been eagerly awaiting for a book about Easton and Bianca, and Shattered Saint does not disappoint!! We get a bigger background story and a bit of mystery intertwined. You become so engrossed with these characters and then…a twist you don’t see coming. 4 spectacular ⭐️’s!!!

Not as much football as I thought there would be… also HATE that he blackmailed her into sleeping with him. It was giving dub con and I hate dub con. It was very short too and I have no clue what’s happening. But there’s like three storylines happening with two of those being in the background because they are set ups for the two other interconnected series. That’s adds to my confusion. Not a good read for this Super Bowl day. I will try another football book lol. Listen I thought it had more football bc TikTok said so but they tricked me!

As of right now, I think I might like Easton and Bianca a little better than Nash and Raven. I grew tired of that couple about halfway through the Devious trilogy. Hopefully, that isn’t also the case with these Shattered books.

*There are trigger warnings, so be sure to check those out before reading if you are easily triggered.*

This is book four of the Brentson University Series and book one of The Shattered Triology. This book ties in with the Devious books. I would definitely recommend reading the first three Brentson University books before reading this, as some scenes overlap. You also get to see overlapping scenes from Iris’ book The Lies Beneath as well. This story is told in dual first person POV and leaves you on a cliffhanger.

I have been waiting not so patiently 🤪 for this book, and it did not disappoint. I did not see that ending coming! Although, now I have more suspicions and questions that I will not so patiently wait for. 😝We see got to meet and revisit Easton and Bianca in previous books and got some of their enemies-to-lovers relationship as well as how they tie into the mystery of who “Unkown” is and what they want.

I devoured this story in less than 24 hours because I just couldn’t put it down. Bri Blackwood did a fantastic job of showing the two sides of Bianca in the other books compared to this one. I never would have guessed how she really was until reading this. I have a love/hate emotion with Easton and I am hoping he helps me lean to the love side by the end of this trilogy.

The mystery and suspense of the who “Unknown” is and what they want has me hooked and my mind spinning. I am usually good at guessing who the “villian” or bad guy is in books, but again, Bri Blackwood has done an amazing job at keeping me on my toes.

I have read every single (English version) book that Bri Blackwood has published on Amazon and I haven’t been disappointed yet. I am so excited to see how this story unfolds!

I received an advanced readers copy via BookFunnel/the author. These thoughts and opinions are my own and left voluntarily after reading for my own enjoyment.

Welcome back to Brentson University, where trickery is afoot amid the hallowed halls of this prestigious academy of learning. This time around, we are here for Bianca and Easton. This couple could set the room on fire. The smoldering looks, the anger in their words, and the animosity between them set their passion off the charts. They could melt the north and south poles and keep the forges burning. They are that HOT! My poor book almost flew across the room a few times, especially the ending. (I'm not giving you any hints. You've got to read it for yourself!)

Bianca Henson is grown up and preparing to leave her parents' home to attend Brentson University. She's tired of being paraded around her father's mayoral functions. It's time to leave the nest. She'll attend the same university as her brother Nash, the football hero. She can handle that. It's his best friend, Easton Beaumont, that she wants no part of. They've squared off before, and she does not want a repeat performance. He has something that will make Bianca give him what he wants, no ifs, ands, or buts. The two of them are forced to work on a classroom project together which only helps Easton bring about his wishes. Forcing Bianca to bend to his whims is precisely what he plans, but she surprises him with her actions. Bianca isn't some weak-willed flower who will wilt. She's strong enough to stand up to Easton and demand what she wants. The only problem is that someone else is watching from the sidelines. Who will cause this train to derail, and who will pay the ultimate price when it happens?

Be prepared for the massive cliffhanger waiting on the last page! Ms. Blackwood is known for teasing you along the way and then throwing you one doozie of a twist right when you hit the end. I did not see this one coming. My poor Kindle!

I'm gasping for my next breath, wanting all the answers! OMG, the author loves to leave you hanging with her cliffies, and this one did not disappoint. I almost threw my book across the room with all that I was feeling. Rage, laughter, tension, angst, and fear were the most prevalent emotions I experienced. The last page held my wish for Bianca... resolutions in the next book.

Bianca was faced with a lot of hard decisions. She was brave, facing her fears and taking her destiny into her own hands. No man is in charge of her life. She stood up for herself. Easton may be the man she wants to spend her life with, but she needs to be numero uno. She finds a solution to her most pressing situation, not knowing that a force is working against her. Someone is following her, watching her every move, but for what purpose? Easton is going through his entry tests to join the Chevaliers. He's not sure if he will be able to complete all the trials as they are given to him. Failure is not an option for him. Having Bianca's brother as his possible leader doesn't help. The two aren't seeing eye to eye right now. Can Easton pass the tests put before him while keeping the peace with Bianca? It seems everything is conspiring against them, and they're fighting for their future.

I was so proud of Bianca in this book. She's shown so much growth in her character. Loving who she wants, standing up for herself, and being a strong young woman who won't back down. I can't wait to see how her story ends in the next installment of this series.

Bianca Henson has grown up under the microscope with having to live a careful life as the mayor’s daughter. Everything she does is scrutinized by the press and therefore she is careful to tow the family line. Yet she holds her secrets tight, careful not to disappoint and does what is expected of her.

Easton Beaumont is relatively new to town but is soon a best friend of Bianca’s older brother, Nash. He keeps his distance from Bianca but at the same time seems to always be there or watching out for her. His family has money yet are not completely involved in what is going on within town.

When it’s clear that Bianca wants Easton will he give in to his attraction to her or is his loyalty to her brother more important?

I liked this book but it’s clear that I need to go back and read more from this author as I feel like I am missing out on some pretty important information with Nash. I have read Iris’s story who is her best friend but all of the timelines intertwine so I definitely need to go back.

I really liked Bianca and this book really showed her struggles between what was expected of her and how she dealt with all of her insecurities and the pressures placed on her. She was not perfect but tried to be but it was stressing her out and she didn’t seem to really have anyone at her school that was there for her.

Easton is one of those guys that definitely sends mixed signals, and I wasn’t really sure what I thought of him as he acts like a complete jerk towards Bianca but then at times he seems to care which was giving me whiplash. I never got a real read on him but I am hoping the next book will dive more into him.

There was so much chemistry between Bianca and Easton beginning from the first moment they met but then Nash had Easton promise he would stay away from Bianca. This led to so many more problems but Easton was definitely possessive over Bianca and at the same time made her life a living hell.

I definitely did not care for Easton’s character much and it was like as soon as he would do something nice and I was like ok I think I can like the guy he would do something stupid and I would go back to hating him.

The book had some wtf moments with everything going on with Nash and all of the secrets he was keeping. It’ll be interesting if Easton joins his secret society and what that will do to Bianca. I can’t figure out what is going on with Raven and if she is in danger or if that too is linked to the secret society.

The end had my jaw on the ground and if everything was because of Easton I will be super mad at that character!- Rebecca

Shattered Saint by Bri Blackwood is a fast moving dark romance that will make readers want to finish it in one sitting. I know I did.

Bianca and Easton meet at a party her parents throw, which is how this book opens, and it shows a few events about their connection before jumping to two years later. They seem to hit it off initially, but in the present timeline they butt heads and avoid one another, cueing in the enemies to lovers trope you’ll find in this book. As a sucker for enemies to lovers I was all for this.

Bianca seems like she has everything a young woman could want, high profile parents, all the money she could ever need as a result of her parents, a best friend, and popularity. Yet there’s a darker side to her and more issues than she cares to admit even to herself as she frequently overdoes it drinking alcohol and partying to cope with what she’s lacking in her life.

Easton on the other hand is an athlete, and best friends with Bianca’s brother whom he made a deal with not to go anywhere near Bianca. Hence he antagonizes her while secretly longing for her, but never able to act on his desires for her.

There was a bit of overlap in events happening from different viewpoints early on which is something I don’t particularly care for in books because I find it super redundant, but otherwise it was a very enjoyable read. There’s also a bit of crossover with the first book in the Westwick University duet which was neat as it tied them together a bit, and it wasn’t quite as repetitive because there was content that hadn’t appeared in the other book.

There’s also a mystery of what is going on with Bianca’s brother, Nash, as he acts very cagey throughout the book and it leaves the reader wanting to know more of what is going on. There are also hints of the secret society Chevalier, which adds to the mystery, though there are very few answers that come out of this first book in this new series. But it left me desperately wanting answers and needing to know more, which has me eagerly anticipating the next book. The tension and mystery is amped up near the end of the book even more when there is a mystery character point of view chapter, where it is not not revealed who the figure is as they get up to some shady stuff. And lost but not least, of course there is a bit of a cliffhanger, and all of the factors basically have me begging for more! Here’s hoping the sequel comes soon.

Oh my , what I have just read? No, no , not again . But why was I surprised at all ? After all it's a Bri Blackwood novel from the Brentson University series and I already read a novel from The Westwick University series and I knew what I was getting myself into . Shattered Saint is a dark academia, secret society, enemies to lovers romance full of suspense , plot twists and cliffhangers . In Brentson University nothing is what it seams as in Westwick University. So everyone is hiding something, you can't trust anyone and The Society is shadowing everything. This is Bianca and Easton's story . Easton and his family suddenly appear in Brentson and there is so much that is unknown about them . Easton has a secrets of his own and there is a hint of a hidden agenda on his side . He blackmails Bianca into a secret relationship but wants to confess his reasons for breaking her heart in the past . Nash , Bianca's brother also has a role in that and he has his reasons for that . But that adds up to the trouble that is coming Bianca's way . She has a stalker who's waiting for the right moment to make a move . Bianca feels used and not seen by her family and her brother's behaviour is just another betrayal to be dealt with. And her only friend, Iris is missing. Suddenly secrets come to light and suspicions of betrayal are raised . And there are some troubles in her father's career . And now we get to that cliffhanger and that plot twist. And I didn't see this one coming considering I'm still recovering from the cliffhanger from Iris and Soren's story . Now I can hardly wait for the next book in the trilogy.

Oh , the Spotify playlist is perfect for this story and I highly recommend you to listen to it while reading .

I received an ARC copy of this book by the author in exchange of an honest review.

Mysterious and Intriguing are just two things that will stand out in this story for sure. Brother's best friend forbidden romance with epic twists!

I loved how this book is interwoven with the previous book What Lies Beneath(-Iris's story.) You see what Bianca was dealing with at the same time as Iris. This story is filled with so many twists that it keeps you glued till that insane cliffhanger ending!

Easton was a character I'm still on the fence about he's one you don't know if you like or despise lol. He's cocky, mysterious, and complicated to say the least. So many things revolving around him and his family, but with only little glimpses of his past keep you invested. Blackmailing Bianca is just one more facet to the ever-growing questions of what is going on with him.

Bianca being the daughter of a mayor has made her a bit rebellious at college. Even though she plays the perfect daughter for the public in private she's struggling to cope and alcohol is her new crutch to keep her afloat. Losing her V card to her brother's best friend is just another issue she has to deal with. Blackmailed into a FWB type of relationship with Easton is just one more problem to add to the ever-growing list. Now with an unknown caller/ possible stalker of her own, she left with a huge complication by the end.

This book is full of crazy twists that keep you guessing what's happening next. And with so many moving parts from each character you will be trying to unravel each little piece you are given along the way. Once again is the mysterious Chevalier's back to collect yet another victim to their growing list? As each person is connected in some way with this mysterious secret society. Buckle up this one is full of twists and will have you needing book two ASAP! Definitely a must read for anyone looking for a good mystery thriller!!

Big Brother’s Best Friend or Frenemy?

All of Bri’s books are good. Some better than others. The Devious series, What Lies Beneath and this book are all tied together along with some of the Cross books.

The author likes to be vague and only give hints of what’s going on. Which normally I’d have no issue with except it takes forever for the follow up book to be released. By the time that happens I’ve forgot what I read months earlier & what book/series it came from to make the connections. So that is sooo frustrating!!!! In this book we have Nash’s sister Bianca who has mysteriously hated his BFF Easton for quite some time. The reason she hates him comes to light and makes perfect sense. What doesn’t make sense is how easily she agrees to his terms and what makes almost no sense at all is when he finally comes clean as to what deal he and her brother made in regards to her is Bianca‘s crazy emotional reaction. She should have felt relief and an “oh that now makes sense let’s move forward”. Instead she freaks out. The author doesn’t explain much and it’s getting old. Like okay so Easton just lets her leave and forgets they are working on a school project together? A lot of loose ends. And Bianca is also receiving texts from an unknown person like her brother, Raven & Iris yet the author didn’t mention the reaction of Raven & Nash once she let Raven see the text. Something is just off with this book. I’d give it a 3.5 overall. Let’s hope the 2nd book isn’t a flop and actually gets to a point of what’s actually going on bc it’s getting ridiculous with zero communication and assumptions.

I skimmed this entire series. Could not get into it at all. The story line had great potential but it felt like I was reading the cliff notes the whole time. The book did not capture my attention at all. Wasn’t well written.

I read all 3 books thinking it would get better.

3.5 stars. This was my first Bri Blackwood book and I received an Advance Copy for an honest review. I like the premise, the forbidden guy, your brother's best friend. I just felt like there was so many things mentioned once and never again. I'm sure, at least I hope they will be circled back to in the next book. For example, Nash takes Raven away to the cottage/camp because he thinks she's in danger. He goes so far as to switch cars with Easton. The next thing I know they are all at the football game. Hello, wasn't her life in danger? I expected the switched cars to be a thing like whoever is after them mistakes Easton for Nash because of the car and something happens to him. Nope. Also, it really seemed like Raven was being held against her will. What about Iris and her stalker and considering they were best friends, their friendship didn't seem real. She talks about how she never went out in High School because she had to be the mayor's perfect daughter, so for Lucy to suddenly text her and invite her out while they are visiting Brentson seemed odd. Then the whole thing between Easton and Bianca. I have to remember these are literal teens and so of course they're going to be immature and no one will communicate with the other. I like danger and taboo and even though I know she wanted to hook up with him the fact that he was actually blackmailing her made me cringe. All in all, a quick and easy read. Just seemed like she tried to put too many things into the book. Maybe the next book will bring it all together.

Wow what an incredible start to a new trilogy. I loved Nash and Raven's story and was so excited to start Bianca's and Easton's. We are pulled back into the twisted world of Brenston University but this time through Bianca and Easton's eyes. From the first time Easton saw Bianca she was what he wanted up until her brother Nash put her off limits. Bianca was intrigued by Easton especially when she felt the electrical chemistry between them. Months after they first met be breaks her heart in the worst way and she hates him for it. Years later Bianca's life is on a down word spiral and she uses Alcohol to numb her emotions. Easton has decided he is over not being with Bianca and will do anything to get her back. Wow let the games begin isn't' that the truth. This book is another exciting mystery we get to try and solve as we read. Who is the unknown person sending text messages to Bianca and what do they want. What twisted things are still to come. What is Easton hiding as he has secrets we still need to figure out. So many twists that are sure to come. That is one thing I love about Bri Blackwoods writing is that you just never know when she is going to throw a twist that will have your mind spinning. When truths come out and you feel things are heading in one direction you are hit with that crazy cliffhanger that leaves your head spinning. I can't wait to read the next book and see what's in store for Bianca and Easton. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

I couldn't contain my excitement when Bri Blackwood announced she was writing a book about Easton and Bianca. We first met them in the first three books of Bianca's brother Nash and Raven's Brenston University series. Even though their interactions were brief, I found myself wanting to learn more about them and their story. I had a feeling something was going on between them. I strongly recommend reading the first three books as well as Iris' book, The Lies Beneath, as this book follows the timeline of those books.

This book begins with the story of Easton and Bianca's meeting and how their relationship evolved from enemies to lovers. I enjoyed getting to know Bianca and Easton better, especially since they were only minor characters in the previous books. I already adore Bianca and would do anything to protect and care for her. I'm still undecided about Easton because I don't know what he has up his sleeve. I know he cares for Bianca, but some of the things he did made me side eye him. But I'm sure I'll like him more once the other books come out.

The way the book ended?!?! I should be used to Bri's cliffhangers, especially in this universe, but it still surprised, confused, and left me wanting more. I can't wait for the other books to come out so I can figure out what's going on.

Thank you to Bri Blackwood for providing with an early copy in exchange for an honest review.

Sponge reading or respectful read with a glass of red 🍷.
5 stars ++

Gone back in time and the night that changed Nash’s life. A night that altered Bianca’s too.
Mayor’s daughter, best friend hmm…
“I was a f..king liar”
Words can be so harmful. Was there an ulterior motive for what was said?
What loop has Easton created for himself? Is it a bro code? Are there rules? Who will conquer?

There is always an intrigue off a branching series. Easton & Bianca are establishing this series to new heights. We delve further into understanding the depth of the Henson’s (Nash & Bianca) & the Beaumont’s (Easton).
Forbidden fruit and all innuendos, what exactly are we prepared for? What rabbit hole are we falling into?

There are some reads that are sponge read and others that need to be savoured. This is one that needs savouring. Though an extension to Brentson Uni, there is a lot of overlapping but it is needed for the foundation of Bianca & Easton’s story to be told.

Whoa!! Cliffhanger - YES. Outstanding by Bri once again. The pathway has been set into the next instalment. What will Bianca be expected to overcome her situation? Who will be her saviour? Who is her sinner? So much to look forward to.

- Deception
- Lust
- Secrets
- Mystery
- Betrayal, all leading to Shattered Sinner.

As per usual, no spoiling 🫢😉

Mention of crossover series Iris and attendance @ Westwick Uni. Keeping us in the know.
Bri never ceases to amaze.

Wow!!! This book has a cliffhanger and I am falling.

Bianca and Easton not at a party. Sadly, Easton is
warned off of Bianca by her older brother. Slowly they find their way back into each others lives but not without warning.

Years later, Bianca is still up to her party girl ways by being a part of a sorority. Will she let Easton back into her heart? What about the random unknown number texting her?

Bri Blackwood has definitely come out with yet another amazing trilogy. If you don’t like CliffHangers, I highly recommend waiting for the series to be finished. But this was a great start!

Merged review:

What a great way to end the series. Bianca is in Italy hiding out after sh*t hits the fan for her dad. Easton will stop at nothing to save Bianca and fight for her love. Will they come out on top or will Bianca go down with her dad and his cheating past?

I received an ARC

Oh my lord.. she's done it again! She's brought us the dark acedemic world that is Brenston University and if you're anything like me you'll DEVOUR this in 1 sitting.

As with any book, I always reccomend checking triggers.

Shattered Saint is the first book in her new trilogy "Shattered" and is set in the Brenston University world but this time we follow Bianca and Easton's story. Although it is set in the same world, you don't have to read the "Brenston University Series" first. There is some crossover but not enough that you aboslutely need to know both series' plot line.

Bri's writting is amazing. Her story and character development is on point. I wanted more, like I said before, I devoured this in 1 sitting!

Just when we were about to get answers that evil "to be continued" shows it's face lol. At least I won't have to wait long for the full trilogy - July for book 2 and August for book 3 and Bri... I need those books, I need answers!

Shattered Saint gives us the best of a couple of worlds. Definitely romance - although Easton and Bianca's romance may be just ever so slightly toxic, they put that "enemies to lovers" to good use for them - there's suspense and a little thriller. Fantastic combination!

I can't wait for the rest of the series and for more of Bri's books!
