I am currently reading these volumes at about 1 per week via the webcomic interface.

This volume follows our group as they try to save the North. Since the group isn't exactly comprised of heroes, it doesn't go as well as one might expect.

I'm not really into comics because, in my opinion, they require some time to be appreciated - you can't just rush through them like you do with a plain-text book. And it's not so easy to have that much time to spare these days. But this is really worth it.

It starts off as a RPG/gamer parody with very neat and pretty to look at graphics and soon you realise there is SO much more. Every single thing that happens seems to be either a reference or something they will get back to in 200 pages. Everything has a reason, and that's what I like the most about it. There's comedy, romance, gore, epic battles, epic sadness, epic lines... And I can safely say all of it is better done than in most books we read nowadays. Plus, so many details! Like the background or, again, the references...!

The only bad point is that it is very specific. If you're not a gamer or know little of nerd/pop culture (like books and TV shows), it certainly won't be any good for you.

For Pony!

Cale and his merry band are on a quest to bring the Northern peoples together, uniting them against Legara whose leader is attempting to annex the Northlands. And much hilarity ensues. And death. And singing. And an impromptu Dick (Rick) roll. And I'm sure there are a lot more inside jokes that I completely missed. Cale takes more of a backseat in this installment and we get to learn more about some of the other characters and what their pasts have been. There's also a very touching scene when Richard is reunited with his bunny. It's moments like that, of course, which make me love this. If you're a gamer and you like D&D, this will be right up your alley. If you're just a bit silly and you like bunnies and/or violence (and/or violent bunnies) this may also appeal to YOU.

Another fun story with more depth than I would have expected for a comedic graphic novel. They are really making you care for these characters.
