I picked this up at an op shop recently because it’s Gillian Rubinstein!

She’s best known for Space Demons and for her fantasy novels set in feudal Japan written under the pen name Lian Hearn.

Anyway, this was a sweet little read about a girl who longed for a pony - and got one by PURE CHANCE (that’s Spud’s show name) 🐎

I really enjoyed this book. it was short and sweet. I found it quite heart warming actually. At first I thought it was a little cliche but it turned out to be quite enjoyable.
