Occultism / Arthurian non-fiction - The true story of a paranormal investigation that went horribly wrong. The devastating report of a quest for ancient knowledge that turned into a nightmare of pursuit by forces beyond human comprehension. In 1982 a seance was held at the headquarters of Parasearch. The psychics who had gathered experienced a remarkable vision of a red gemstone, the 'Eye of Fire' taken from the hilt of King Arthur's sword Excalibur. But at the climax of the seance a dark presence manifested itself in the room...
Eye of Fire, the account of a psychic quest "gone wrong" is remarkably well paced and suitably dramatic for a "true account".
If you are familiar with The Green Stone and enjoyed it, then this is the follow up. I was thoroughly entertained. That being said, my expectations were adjusted accordingly. I was expecting a story on par with an occult thriller, or perhaps a modern gothic fantasy, and was rewarded.
If you are at all interested in the personalities involved, or the background to the books, definitely find and read 'The Search for the Eye of Fire'. It is a short Kindle book, but it is well read, and provides an entirely different perspective.
Andrew Collins works on the subject also round out the story.
Thoroughly riveting ... this one really "had me going." A large part of me wants to believe it all happened just as related -- and the illusion of reality is strengthened by the inclusion of a set of b/w photos grounding the whole thing in reality. Is it real? Is it "faction" or "mockumentary?" I honestly don't know, but I enjoyed this a lot ... it stands your hair on end from time to time!
Somewhat shakier than The Green Stone, but still a fun yarn even if you don't believe in its paranormal claims. Full review: https://fakegeekboy.wordpress.com/201...
O título em Inglês é mais revelador do conteúdo "Act of God". Faz algumas considerações e tece algumas teorias sobre o túmulo 55, Akhenaton e Tutankhamon. Muito interessante.
