My bestie was off-limits until he kissed me and changed everything…
Harrison Valentine is my best friend and the king of one-night stands. And hi—nice to meet you—I’m the queen of failed relationships. Commitment issues are something we have in common, or so I thought.
Then the devil delivers his kiss of death, and it puts me in a chokehold. I expect a f*ck boy, but he wants forever. And it scares me.
When I finally see the magic we made together, it’s too late. Because he’s now engaged. To someone else.
Butter My Biscuit is a SPICY childhood friends-to-lovers, small-town Southern romance with a hero who falls first and knows exactly what he’s always wanted. Each book in the Valentine Texas series is a stand-alone and can be read in any order. There is tension and angst, but trust the process. If I ever break you, I will always put you back together. With an X over my heart.
Lyra Parish is a hopeless romantic obsessed with writing spicy Hallmark-like romances. When she isn’t immersed in fictional worlds, you can find her pretending to be a Vanlifer with her hubby. Lyra loves coffee, the great outdoors, authentic people, and living her best life.
This one doesn't deserve any stars at all. I absolutely refuse to give this author even one star because there is NOTHING here written that can't be qualified as pure crap!
When I first saw the blurb and it was mentioned the MMC was in love with MFC but moved on to OW, I thought it was one of those fake plots where the Hero tries to make heroine jealous and that anything with OW is fake, etc. However, that is not the case here which is why this one should have never even been listed as "Fictional Romance".
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MCs were childhood sweethearts and supposedly in love but neither ever did anything about it. When they were in HS, they both moved on with OP. MMC in particular had a GF whom he was into and she will come to have a major role in this story.
In the present, MCs have been besties all their life and everyone around them know that they are in love and meant to be. The MMC has become a ho who sleeps around a lot with women that don't look anything like MFC. MFC is no virgin. She has had lovers too but not as bad as him and she said she chose guys that reminded her of him.🙄
Anyway, they finally give in and become lovers but FC is scared of ruining their relationship so they decide to go back to being just friends but as soon as that is decided, the bed sheets aren't even cold when MMC is back together with his ex HS gf and talking about marriage and forever with her. LOL But that doesn't stop him from f***g MFC. The OW knows he f****d MFC when she pushed him to attend the MFC's sister's wedding in Hawaii where they slept together so 1) he cheated on OW with MFC because they were in a relationship and getting serious, and 2) the OW saw the finger marks on his back that MFC made when they were f*****g and still wanted him but in the end we are supposed to believe she is the hero & a good person because she says she always knew that the douche and the doormat were always supposed to be together.
Then MMC proposes to OW and says he loves her and that maybe he was supposed to end up with her instead of the FC, but he continues to wait for MFC to stop the marriage to no avail. Instead, MFC plans his marriage and even becomes besties with the OW and pushes him to marry OW - all while still lusting after him and mourning his loss. All righty then.
On his wedding day, his family is begging him not to go through it and pushing him to fight for MFC but he is adamant that he wants OW. Before they head down the isle, OW pulls him in for a hot kiss and he is very turned on. Then as they are about to exchange their I do's, he looks at MFC and OW pulls him away to tell him what is he doing? She gives him his ring and tells him that she knew he f****d MFC when she told him to go to Hawaii for her sister's wedding but she wanted to go back to how they were in HS and now realizes that she wants someone who is in love with her and he is with MFC. So they go back to the wedding holding hands and feeling happy and OW says they made a mistake and that they weren't meant to be but he & MFC were and hopes they make it.
So then we have MCs getting back together and exchanging ILY's and they play a game of truth. One of which is how many other women he slept with in the past year and he says "only with her" (aka MFC) and "not even with OW". WHAT??? I'm sorry but even though there were no intimate scenes with OW other then some heavy kissing, there WAS a scene after he had sex with MFC when he returned from Hawaii where he & OW were making out and he said he was moving forward from here-on in with OW and that he loved her. They were making out and then went upstairs in his bedroom and the next day they were in their bathrobes. And lets not forget the hot make-out scene he had with OW where he was so turned on right before they were to get married. So to have author have him say that he didn't sleep with anyone, not even his fiancee is bullshit. Even MFC lied when she was asked the same question, however, she technically didn't sleep with OM. They were in bed naked and fooling around but she stopped penetration because she couldn't go through it. Can't say the same about him.
And then we have MFC in the end being besties with OW and so thankful to her for giving up the douche and making jokes to him about how he went to OW so fast and him not regretting it. So yeah, what an epic romance this was. LOL.
Not what I expected at all. I hated them both. Not another fuckboy swearing he's been in love with the same girl all his life, but fucking anything with a pulse. And the heroine was just as exasperating as him, just in a different way.
Yuck, no, just a billion times no. Typical trope that I hate with all my hearts, but here I hated with all my hearts both characters and guess what, the only one I liked was the other woman. Hero and heroine have been besties forever and they don’t have a crush on each other. No, joking. They both have a crush on each other but they don’t want to spoil their fanfuckintastic friendship so they won’t act on it. No, that’s not even all true. They were almost doing something at 16 but the heroine thinks he rejected her but he didnt because he didn’t read a note she sent him. I mean. Besties. It means they should be telling each other everything, so why didn’t she ask him, yo dude have you read my note? Do you reciprocate or not? Just saying. But no, they keep telling each other they are just friends, even when, after the heroine had a sad ending with a bf and eventually they have sex, they can’t make up their mind about what they are or not. They’re about 27 28 yo, not 17. She rejects him times and again and he is not man enough to tell her, woman, from now on we are a couple because I love you. No, he stays silent because he wants her to make the first move so they keep having sex, rejecting each other and so on. He meets again one of his first girlfriend and decides to date her. Be warned. He’s very conscious that he has feelings for the heroine and that he would rather be with her but he keeps dating casually and not exclusively, meaning that he keeps banging the heroine some other time, this poor woman, who keeps asking him if he has feelings for the heroine, and he lies blatantly saying that no, he doesn’t have any feelings except friendship. Mind, he and the heroine are always hugging and making calf eyes to each other in front of everyone, ow included. Btw, ow is not ow, has become his fiancee, because the spineless, beta, excuse of a hero proposed. You know, since heroine doesn’t want him, this woman will have him willingly. I hated that he used her to forget the heroine, even saying the heroine name while having sex with his fiancee. This is not sweet, this is disgusting and humiliating. The heroine in the meantime, accepts to be the wedding planner of the couple, really? The hero keeps asking her if she’s sure and makes innuendo and thinks that if she asks him not to marry his fiancee he would leave her in a moment. Really? I just can’t with these people. In the end, after for the million time the hero makes longing and desperate eyes at his own wedding to the heroine, his fiancee stops the ceremony and tells him she won’t marry him. He’s relieved. He goes after the heroine. DNF at 90% because I simply wasn’t interested in his hea. First time it happened, and well, there’s a first time for everything. What I didn’t like. - in the beginning it looks like they don’t have more than friendship. She’s going yo have sex with her boyfriend and afterwards he goes to have sex with ow. Then suddenly they have sex with each other. - I don’t believe the whole it’s always been you thing. Especially when both have been with op for all their lives. - She doesn’t want to be with him because she doesn’t want to ruin their friendship, to me it means there’s nothing more than that. Either there would not be anything to ruin to begin with, since it would be an improvement of their friendship, it doesn’t make sense. Either you are in love with someone or you don’t, until the end I don’t feel like the heroine is in love with him, she just acts territorial with him. - he’s the worst example of beta in the world. He was in love with the heroine but decided to marry another woman. In what world is this ok? At least try to move on and to forget the heroine first. He wanted to marry another woman while having feelings for the heroine without doing anything about it. Worst person ever. - I don’t know how people find this romantic I find it pathetic, sad, embarrassing. There’s nothing special about those two, the feelings they have for each other should have been emerged during their teenage years or maybe after they’ve been years apart but this is not it. They have this kind of morbid friendship , they sleep in the same bed, they actually do everything that matters together, how can one of them find a person that is at the same level? Bff of the same sex hardly do this kind of thing, let alone of the opposite sex, if they’re not gay. Because it speaks of an intimacy of couple. You can have a bff and do bff things, like girls night out. Or boys night out, but not like they did. They went to the cinema together, they had dinner with movie together, they traveled together, they were actually a couple without intimacy so it’s not believable they could find love with other people. They were not friends, they were morbid. And the hero is a person with emotional codependency because he can’t stay alone. He needs to be with someone and if the heroine won’t have him he would have chosen another woman, the first random who wanted him because honestly there was nothing between him and his fiancee except sex. To me it was a totally failure. Of course it’s not safe and it has an undercurrent of male chauvinism, because while the hero keep having sex with ow the heroine doesn’t so to me this is double standard.
I beg you authors to please not show your internalized misogyny by treating your female characters like utter trash and glorifying toxic cheating asshole men behavior.
The MMC on this book is the perfect example of that.
This was a perfectly average book with some moments of awkward dialogue underdevelopment in the relationship between Harrison and Grace, who are supposed to be best friends from childhood, but felt pretty surface level. Not bad, but not worth finishing.
The angst in the third book of Lyra Paris Valentine Texas series is so high! I literally wanted to throw my phone while reading this book. Harrison and Grace have to be my favorite couple so far, even though I wasnt sure if I loved or hated this book while reading it!
Friends to lovers has never been this angsty and spicy. The will they wont they vibe in this book made me almost have a heartattack. Seriously I could not cope at all! I was done with this story at around 70% because I couldnt take it anymore. These two deserved a few slaps over the head.
I havent been this invested in a story in a while and Lyra managed to keep me captivated even when I wanted to quit. She kept me rooting for the two througout the book.
If the title of this book doesn't make you cackle, I don't know what will. Gifted to me for my birthday by my reading besties, this was just the book I needed to get back on track after giving birth and living in a fog for 6 weeks. Is this book going to change lives? I doubt it. Is it the fun, cheesy smut we all desperately need sometimes? Absolutely. It was a quick, easy read and if you can keep up with the names of all the Valentine kids, well, you're already better off than me!
This was a little predictable but such a cute small town romance! I loved the characters (even though the MMC and FMC were being such idiots at different points in the book). Still not a huge fan of the friends to lovers trope, but this was better than others I’ve read, so if that’s your thing, definitely give this book a shot! It was SO painfully obvious that they were in love with each other from the first chapter. Don’t get me wrong, their friendship/relationship was adorable but I can’t understand how they didn’t know how the other felt 😅 Something I really loved about this book was the relationships between the other characters, so it wasn’t all about the romance between the main characters (siblings, friends, parents). I’d recommend this book if you enjoy a southern small town romance or friends to lovers with some spice ❤️
(4.5 Stars) Harrison Valentine and Grace have been friends forever which is fine since she knows he is quite the player and they agreed to never cross that “line.” That is until one kiss changes everything. Too bad they are both too stubborn to admit anything. This asks the age old question of can boys and girls really just be friends? What complications can two friends cause when they both want each other but refuse to admit it? This is a friends to lovers romance set in a small town but be ready to get annoyed by these two not just saying what they feel. I really wanted to put Harrison in a time out with his decisions lol. A feel good romance with all the Valentine family members but can be read as a stand-alone. First person and Told in dual POV
note : he is engaged to ow, everyone and their mother BEGS him not to marry her and to fight for the fmc ( his bestie), yet he is ADAMANT that he only wants ow /is in love with her/ was meant to spend his life with her.. then on their wedding day it's ow who cancels the wedding because she sees that he is in love with the fmc.. mind you he was double dipping the fmc and ow so he basically cheated on them both. in conclusion the mmc is pussy and no one should read about a cheating pussy mmc
i didnt think i'd enjoy this, it seemed a little too cheesy BUT i loved this. i found it so interesting to read, the characters were great and the whole story flowed so well.
Harrison is a f-boy who screws everything in a skirt and his best friend is Grace who is a flippin mess. Harrison claims to have been in love with Grace since elementary school but is a complete pig. Yes he can read her mind and they can dance like Fred & Ginger.
I have major questions about this story - why in the hell is Stephanie wearing Grace's perfume on her wedding day? Seems like a pretty major plot point to just drop in there out of the blue and then hinge the outcome of your book??!

Butter My Biscuit is the third book in the Valentine Texas series by Lyra Parish. This novel is told from both Harrison and Grace’s point of view. If you’re looking for a small town, best friends to lovers romance novel that is high on the angst and higher on the spice, look no further, run to amazon and one click this novel now!! Oh my god! Harrison Valentine gave me all the feels! He may just be my favorite Valentine once the series is finished. We shall see!
Grace hasn't had the best role models when it comes to love and marriage. When her mother and father divorced, due to her fathers cheating ways, Grace knew from that moment the man she chose to be her husband, one day, would also be the man capable of breaking her heart. Which leads to her current issue, choosing wrong man after wrong man. But when this last boyfriend encounter turns out to be a married man.. Grace, with the help of her best friend Harrison, decided to live her single girl era life. New year equals a new Grace.
Harrison has only ever had eyes for one woman. That’s why he invented his rule system. No sleepovers, no snuggles, and no commitment. But the issue at hand, Harrison is ready for the wife, picket fence, and the kids and if Grace doesn’t see him as anything other than her best friend, he’s going to be forced to move on and give his heart to someone knew…
…and that is where I’m going to end this portion of my review and skip right to my thoughts.
My Thoughts:
I thought the day would never come. Here I am sitting four days into February without a single five star rating on my 2024 reading wrap up…. Until today!!! Butter My Biscuit by Lyra Parish deserves all five of those stars! Lyra Parish sent my heart on an emotional rollercoaster! It definitely shows that she poured her heart and soul into Harrison and Grace’s angsty best friends to lovers romance. There were times when I had to remind myself to take a breath! Wow! It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book that hit my heart this deeply!
First off, I loved the setting, the tropes, and everything about this storyline. I’m a sucker for small town romances, and adding a rancher/cowboy to the mix is like adding even more frosting to an already decadent cake! There’s something about the small town life, tight knit families, and meddling mothers that makes me feel nostalgic. I also loved how Lyra Parish morphed the Best Friends to Lovers aspect into this novel. I loved for once that it was the woman questioning and having second thoughts and the man was the one to fall head over boots first! Everything about the setting, tropes, and chemistry in Butter My Biscuit is what I love about reading romance.
I loved Grace and her inability to see what was right in front of her this Whole. Damn. Time. This woman had me about ready to throw my kindle across the room. I was so angry at her for not seeing that her one true love had always been right beside her. But I understood the process of growing pains throughout this novel, so my kindle is safe, for the time being. You see, Grace and Harrison had to grow out of their comfort zone for Grace to see Harrison for the man he is and not just the best friend he’s been. I loved this aspect and I loved the fact that Lyra Parish had me feeling Grace’s feelings.
And then we have Harrison…. Sweet, yet sometimes dirty, Harrie. This man fought for what he wanted, but sometimes you can only fight so hard before the rejection is too much to handle, and even then, he was still fighting. My heart broke over and over and over again for this man and the future he envisions. I wanted him to have his happily ever after, but a man can only be in the friendzone for so long before he has to pick himself up, dust himself off, and inevitably change course. His point of view broke me. I saw his love right from the start, and that love only made me respect his character that much more. And, although, I was angry for him… I did what I had to do, I trusted the process of this story.
So when I say this Best friends to lovers romance was an emotional rollercoaster, you can take those words to the bank. My heart went through it all! And I wouldn’t change one damn thing about it! But in the end, Grace and Harrison are a match made in the stars. With an unbreakable bond and a friendship that will last a lifetime and beyond. I loved the fact that these two had a strong friendship. And I loved the fact that Lyra Parish tested that friendship time and time again. There were moments when I felt that friendship start to crumble, but throughout the mess I still felt the strong bond both characters shared, beneath the surface. The bond never went away.
OH MY! I almost forgot my favorite thing in the novel. The meddling Valentines! I laughed so hard at Harrison’s siblings and the rumors that went around about Harrison and Grace. I also loved how good these two were at dodging said rumors! Kinsley and her Tarot readings, Remi and her IOU’s, and Harrison’s brothers and their bets. The humor was needed and added a bit of comedy to cancel out the high levels of angst! I love meddling families in romance novels, and Valentine's just upped the ante!
I can’t wait to get my hands on more! I’m dying for Remi Valentine’s story! I have a feeling this is going to be just as delicious in the spice category with a little bit of hidden angst in the mix! There is no denying the fact, I’m hooked on Valentines! I need more!!
One star is way too generous. I typically don’t write reviews but felt like I had to about this book. I’ve really enjoyed the other books in this series, but this one…nope. I finished it, but could barely get through it.
The fact that the MMC literally left the FMC when she was brokenhearted to hookup with OW turned me off and I should have gone with my first instinct and stopped reading this book right there. But no, I told myself it was a minor slip and this writer is so good the book would be stronger from this point on. I WAS SO WRONG. I hated the MMC from that point on and never really changed my opinion of him. FMC deserved better. All women deserve better than this douche.
I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever read another book by this writer.

Best friends and a kiss that changes everything, and maybe not for the best.
This one was a doozy and I can't believe in their HEA when their path was a whiplash of getting involved with other people and tiny really tiny scenes of something sweet that were later erased with OP.
I was given a free copy of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What in the ever-loving-God did I just read??? Because seriously - ma'am - Lyra - what have you done??? I am still up in arms over this book. Friends-to-Lovers is literally my LEAST FAVORITE trope yet here you come on in with "Butter My Biscuit" and just completely throw my literary world off its axis!!!
Because this is your BEST BOOK EVER!!!!
Lyra, seriously - this is your best book! I've read the vast majority of your books and I am a huge fan, but this book? Ma'am. Like, what just happened??? This book is... OMFG. I'm still reeling from it.
Alright, let me back up. "Butter My Biscuit" is the third in the Valentine Texas series, it is the story of forever best friends Harrison and Grace. We've gotten hints and glimpses of them in the first two books, well, especially book #2. But ladies and gentlemen, let me warn you: nothing and I repeat NOTHING will prepare you for this book though! This book is rapid-fire! It feels like it when you read it, and I've not read many authors who can accomplish that. But it is snappy and quick and moves quickly. So you are already so invested and in parts on the edge of your seat.
This book is obviously friends to lovers. And as mentioned above, it has always been my least favorite trope. #sorrynotsorry it just is. But this book??? Lyra, giiiiiiiiiiirl. I'm just blown away. This is NOT your standard F2L book! No ma'am, it is NOT! Grace and Harrison's story is that and a box of chocolates, but their box of chocolates is like the mystery box because when you bite into one (or a new chapter) you just don't know if you're getting a delicious sea salt caramel kernel of chocolatey deliciousness or if you're getting that dreaded cherry thing. Because Lyra gives us chapters in this book where you are either yelling at your book and DMing Lyra herself to ream her a new one, or in other chapters you are quite literally fanning yourself off and looking over your shoulder to make sure no one is reading what you're reading. Because, ma'am, the smexy scenes in this book? .... Like, for real??? Holy mother of all that is smoldering and sexy and so freekin' hot!
The theme throughout this book is will or won't they get their heads out of their you-know-whats! It is frustrating as all hell. But damn girl! I've never ENDURED such a back and forth. Good grief. My nerves are shot after this. I just couldn't believe some of the turn of events! Like.... just OMFG!
And ok, ok, so I must discuss the final 40% of this book. I could not put it down. I stayed up way past my bedtime binging the last 40% because... because... I think I'm traumatized from the flipping rollercoaster that Lyra took us on. Ma'am! I was NOT okay! I was so far from it. Just... I have no words. But then - then!! As promised, Lyra brings it all back... she puts balm on our deep wounds and hands us some honey whiskey to take the edge off before slathering us in the sweetest honey so we're just melting at the end of this book. And giiiiiirl, the end? Phewww. It couldn't have been more sweet.
So now that you've taken me on THIS ride, one that I think I'll need some time to recover from because my head is still spinning - Remi and Cash? What in the world is happening? Can I like just come and sit in a corner and watch you write their story? I need their story - like now!
This book was sooo good, I’ve been looking forward to Harrison’s book.
Harrison and Grace have been BFF’s since they were kids and have spent most of their adult life denying that their relationship is anything more than friends. The love between these two is clear to everyone but THEM!
I love the chemistry between Harrison and Grace what they have is very special and because of that they’re scared to cross that line until they share a kiss.
I laughed throughout this book and shed some tears I’m not gonna lie! I loved Harrison but at times I wanted to punch him in the d!ck for some of the choices he made! IYKYK
But I knew Lyra wouldn’t let us down. This book is a beautiful and sometimes heartbreaking love story.
This can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the other books in the Valentine series. I’m looking forward to Remi’s book next.
4 1/2 Stars! Grace and Harrison have been BFF's since they can remember. He's there for her no matter what and vice versa and they share everything about themselves with each other. They made a pact, no matter how many drinks, they don't cross the "friend line". Harrison has wanted more but he loves her and respects her friendship. Grace is tempted but doesn't want to stand in the way of any future relationships that may spring from his "Valentine kiss of death". (you'll find out) A bridge both long to cross but neither dares to. When the memories of a chance never taken don't fade, can said memories fan a flame that's always been present? UGGH, these two!!! I wanted to smack the both of them on the back of the neck and shout,"WAKE UP"! But what a roller coaster ride! I make you this promise right now. you will not regret this one!!😍🔥🔥 Goodnight Gracie. Goodnight Harri.
These two have been friends forever and have said they will never cross the friendship line. One night, one kiss gets them into more trouble than they realize. The chemistry and the stubbornness is off the charts just fantastic to watch unfold throughout this book. I really enjoyed these two, but felt their pull should have happened a bit sooner especially given how close they were as friends. It’s like the story flowed well then bam out of nowhere they both became idiotic. I didn’t get this with the other books, so I really hope this isn’t something we see out of future characters as they get with their significant others. I did really enjoy the story just had a snag that had wondering what the author was thinking with the storyline. This could have been me and my view so definitely take this with a grain of salt and enjoy it. I recommend this book. Told in dual POV.
Friends to lovers romance. Harrison and Grace have been friends forever and never thought they would cross the line until one kiss changes everything.
Harrison always knew he wanted Grace but when she puts the brakes on so as not to ruin their friendship he starts a relationship with his old flame even though he believes Grace is the one for him.
Grace is a disaster in a relationship although we do agree that Scott Eastwood is hot and The Longest Ride is a great film! She is just scared that a relationship will ruin their friendship.
Grace and Harrison have a great friendship and seem to talk about everything except how they feel towards each other which is frustrating through the story but worth it for the HEA in the end.
Thanks to Lyra Parish for the advanced copy of this book.
I loved this book so much and this series has become one of my favs.
I experienced a full whirlwind of emotions as I read Grace and Harrison’s story. All the angst and tension-screaming at my book for them to GET. IT. TOGETHER. Laughing at their hilarious banter, swooning over the way they so clearly love each other and then getting heated in the worst way reading that wedding scene thinking it was all falling apart and then heated in an entirely different way every time Grace and Harrison shared a kiss, touch, or moment alone.
This is a best friends to lovers, high heat, guaranteed HEA with characters you will absolutely love and adore. I have fallen in love with Valentine, TX and all of the people there. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
I’ve been dying to read this book since I I finished Spill the Sweet Tea. And Harrison and Grace were so great, even if there were moments where I wanted to reach out and smack them. For how well they knew each other, they definitely danced around their feelings for a long. It was absolutely angsty waiting for them to really get together.
You’re absolutely going to need some tissues, as there were some tough parts to get through. And Harrison and Grace are way too stubborn for their own good, which almost cost them their happiness. There were multiple times I wanted to throw my kindle because damn was it stressful.
Of course most of my favorite parts were when they were actually finally together which happens late in the book. I really love how they wear each other’s favorite outfits/colors. I also like how they were trying to remake memories in spots all around Valentine. As always the whole Valentine clan is present and in everyone’s business.
While I wouldn’t call this a true slow burn as they are physically together earlier in the book, they don’t really become a couple until close to the end. It’s still plenty spicy with multiple spicy scenes. Also as a warning if you’re someone that doesn’t like if the MC are with others (or it’s even alluded to) on page this book does have that. Though it is not really in detail and nothing more than kissing happens between other characters. There isn’t cheating, but it’s because one couple has an understanding. I like to warn people as this is definitely a more touchy thing for romance readers.
One thing I really love about Lyra’s books is that you get more of a sneak peek into whichever character is next in line. In this case that means Remi was a heavily featured second character. She became a great friend to Grace and stepped in when necessary to help with their relationship when their friendship got rocky.
This book just might tear your heart out. It’s a hard fought for HEA. You really get the feel for how absolutely perfect Grace and Harrison are for each other.
I read an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
I've been waiting for these two. I've loved the banter of the two of them from previous books. Harrison and Grace are perfect for each other. They've been friends forever and have a special bond, where one weekend away Grace finally starts to learn that there's more to that bond that she overlooked for so long. I absolutely loved how the two of them were together. These are all standalone but I do recommend reading the previous books tye characters are amazing. 5 star read that I couldn't put down.
I received this book as an eARC by the author herself, as part of her team.
If you want to read a book that makes feel like train hit your body or being a roller coaster. This is the right book for you. I was reading this book in between breaks at work but I couldn't. I needed a full day of off from work to be able to finish it. And OMG she nailed it so bad. I was left with my emotions all over the place with every occurrences that happened. It was the books book I've read so far and to know that it is coming out on my birthday ahhh!!!
Grace was so blind at first and played with fire same as Harrison that he did know what he had in front of him. But she was so blind that didn't know what she had. They even have dates that are so cute to read, every emotion she had during my time reading the book.
What a phenomenal book!! Hands down AMAZING! Harrison and Grace grabbed a hold of my heart and would not let it go. Two best friends with enough chemistry to light the pages on fire. Jam packed with all the FEELS!!! I swooned. I cried. I may have even wanted to throw my phone a time or two. These two have the kind of love worth fighting for. A definite MUST READ!!
I had so many conflicting thoughts and emotions about this book. I really disliked Harrison at the start (probably longer than that if I'm honest) but he certainly redeems himself. I get Grace being all up in her own head after years of rejection. Can't wait to read Remi's book! I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
