This book was obviously written by someone who has always had lots of friends surrounding him. He describes ten ideas for forming and nurturing lasting friendships. I thought his ideas while good were one-sided. He didn't tell any stories to show that he understood the other side of friendship. In his chapter on learning to listen he didn't talk about validation which is an important aspect of people skills. More than one of his ten ideas could be summed up better by Stephen Covey's idea "think win-win." Overall the book came across as a weak treatment of the subject.
