Ramana Maharshi is my favorite Religious figure/Sage. Maybe because I feel a strong kindred pull to his way of being, his obliviousness, brilliance, and kindness. Maharshi has kind of showed me the way to live, mind free, desire free, fear free, in a state of overflowing bliss, beatitude, equanimity and connection to all beings around me, and throughout the world. I realize that the sum of all achievements and greatness is the very Self that is already possessed, and that all this reaching out for something transient, is like searching for the necklace when it's already around my own neck. It requires that I give up the world, give up my infatuations for other individuals, give up my fear for the wellbeing of the body, and the individual I imagine myself to be, and be That which is still there in the absence of all that superfluous conditioning, my True Self. Literally, I become everything, and everything I could ever wanted, every relationship I could ever desire, every achievement I could ever strive for is the nature of Being, and all those are easy when I give up searching outside myself. And miraculously events happen very auspiciously.

Commento:

Recommendation
Even the grand master of advaita, Ramana Maharshi, gave his students practices. While talking about how we are already enlightened, he taught people to meditate, chant mantras, do breathwork, and other effortful practices. If you read the detailed histories of his top students (you can do so in the books by David Godman, a series called The Power of the Presence) who
