My five-year-old son picked this book out from the library this week.

Apparently my husband read this book to my son the night I was at choir practice, because when I read it to him last night, he knew the story. That tells me two things: He understood the story, and he liked it enough to remember it.

yikes. it didn't grab me. i could barely read it despite hope that it could be used for a music class. no dice
