Rate this book
Do you have trouble quieting the "noise" in your head? Is it tough for you to pray in a traditional format because thoughts, anxiety, stress, etc. keep distracting you? Have you ever found peace from this while in nature, especially in an athletic event? From childhood to present day, this book follows the story of Rami F Odeh, who began his running "journey" at 15 years old, barely able to run a 1/4 mile around his block to completing a 53 mile, 12 hour, off road run in 2011. The book is about much more than running, it is more a spiritual and religious "awakening" that occured once Rami took his passion for endurance events off road and into nature. How did it help him hear our Lord? Read on.......

I liked this book, because the contents dealt with trail running and God. It’s always refreshing to hear another perspective, especially on things that you’re already interested in. I like his light-hearted tone yet his determination and perseverance to continue on during tough races and higher mileage.
It’s a quick and easy read, which isn’t a bad thing, but my reason for not giving this 5 stars is that I was hoping for more of an in-depth look at the author’s connection to God during his runs. I felt like most of his references were short snippets, and it left me wanting more.

This book has a good message. It was certainly written in a hurry as a means of checking a box in the Bucket List category, but I think he makes a lot of applicable points about how to improve our lives in today's stressful modern world.

This book is a fun read and insightful. It reads easy like the author is sitting in the room with you and telling you his stories. His insights that he learns while on his runs ring true and I can relate! Look forward to more books by this author and speaker.
