Franchising: Pathway to Wealth Creation

Rate this book
Over 1,000,000 potential entrepreneurs investigate franchising every year, but this enormous business opportunity remains hugely misunderstood--and potential franchisees are desperate for realistic guidance from experts who've really been there. Franchising: Pathway to Wealth Creation delivers that guidance, from start to finish. This book is written by a truly extraordinary authoring team--including the entrepreneur who built the world's largest system of Jiffy Lube franchises, the CEO who grew Dunkin' Donuts from 300 units to over 3,000, and the franchising specialist who sits on the board of the world's #1 bank lender to franchisees. Drawing on their immense personal experience, the authors provide detailed analytical tools for assessing any franchise opportunity, then illuminate every aspect of the business from both the franchisor's and franchisee's perspective. Coverage includes: franchise relationship models and service/product delivery systems; financial and transaction analysis; legal issues; dynamics of the franchise relationship; going international; distributorships; licensing; and even cashing out.

This is the best book I have read on the topic of franchising. I highly recommend this read for anyone who is considering making an investment into this business model. Gives a great academic perspective into the topic. Will refer this book to friends.

The best book that I have read on the subject of franchising. Practical experience mixed in with theory, the authors explain in detail the franchise business model and relationship from both points of view. Required business reading.

Read this for my MBA. Good book, very complete, but only covers the topic from an American perspective. I think that there is room for another edition tailored to regions around the world.
