This book would be more appropriately subtitled "A History of Women in the Navy Nurse Corps." There was way too much focus on the NC and not enough on the rest of the Navy. I realize the NC is a huge part of our history but I just thought the book focused too much on the NC and not really at all on the other staff corps or line community. Otherwise, a satisfying source of anecdotal history tracing the progression of women in the Navy. A must read for any woman in uniform.
