He was the one who fired her, the last person she should extend her kindness to. But she did. She believed that no matter the circumstances, kindness was applicable. Despite her situation, she knew God would work it out for her good. At least, that's what she was trusting. As a millionaire businessman, kindness didn't aid him in gaining his riches, so it was the last thing he extended in any situation. Could her lesson in kindness lead to everlasting love?
I love a grumpy/rude boss story and I was ready to love this story. There were a lot of potential and opportunities for this story to be great, but it sort of missed the mark. DeShaun was the grumpy millionaire and Leah was the sweet mild-mannered girl. I was hoping for more conflict and more from Leah and Deshaun. Had there been more conflict and interactions, I think this story would've delivered. This was still a nice read nonetheless. 3.3⭐️
This book is like a love and self-discovery adventure! Leah gets the boot from Deshaun's company, but fate plays matchmaker, and they collide in the most unexpected way. Deshaun's whole glow-up and spiritual journey after meeting Leah 🤗🥰 love it! The added mystery vibe just cranks up the excitement. Definite page-turner!
Oh where do I start? This book was simply great and leaned into the message of love is kind. We meet Leah as she is let go from Deshaun’s company unexpectedly. Through some serendipity, they meet again. They are tied together because they are in the same industry and are drawn together professionally and personally. And through their journey, Leah helps Deshaun become the person God would have him to be. The road isn’t smooth to their HEA but well worth it. Loved this book!
General thoughts about the story: It made my heart warm Trust God and never rush . God will give you double for your troubles
Book overview: Leah gets laid off after 10 years of working at a marketing firm, this dismissal forces her to work at a coffee shop next door to her previous office. Whilst she is working a low paying job, God orchestrated her elevation! Mr green is ruthless, when it comes to business, so when he takes over the firm, he laid everyone off including the creative team which Leah worked in, which any extensive research.
After months of struggling to get the firm in green , he recognises that he needs to bring the creative team back together.
At this point Leah has been offered a job at the competitors , which has better compensation package and all. When Mr Deshaun Green reaches out to her ,Leah realised that she rushed to take the competitor job offer as their work ethic doesn’t support her values.
Elevation is calling but Love is calling out louder! Read this story, to find out what happens next. The story is filled with many life lessons!
I enjoyed this. I thought book one was great, book two was fantastic. I enjoyed Leah and Deshaun. The faith aspects were amazing. The romance was steady, sweet, and real. The characters were all intriguing. The betrayal was real. This was a beautiful wholesome read. Definitely recommend it!
I genuinely didn’t like this book as much as love is patient. I thought I was gonna enjoy it for the grumpy sunshine and billionaire romance feel it had to it, but that wasn’t the case. The male lead was just rude to people he didn’t care much about and was SUPER friendly and personable to his family. Which was interesting but at times he was completely stuck up and would rely on his money to prove his actions which i hated.
I also did not like the ending as it seemed a bit rushed and i wanted SO much more out of the male lead, idk just didn’t hit it on the head for me.
I loved the female lead so much, she was so patient and so kind ALWAYS no matter what. She also was so faithful to serving, which i personally loved seeing. I just wanted better for her out the male lead because he truly didn’t seem like he had a personal relation with God. Or atleast a strong of relationship with God as the female lead did. He had a lot of money which was great, and he slowly started using it for good but that was a WAAAYS into the book.
Idk, just felt unequally yolked the whole way through between the main couple, and i wanted more faith, more God, more lessons learned by the male lead. The female lead went through A LOT but, it seemed like the male lead didn’t go through much at all. The male leads in this book for the most part were just lost on me idk. The females in this book were my fav, which was very unbalanced but the truth.
What an awesome story. Solid writing. I intend to read more of her novels. Clean and a good novel for those of us that don’t desire for our reads to cross certain boundaries. I do not like the cover illustration on this novel nor the other novel in the series. Wonder why they were chosen to tell the story of Deshaun and Leah.
Leah is a young professional trying to make her way up the corporate ladder. Then comes Deshaun with Bryer Agency and unapologetically knocks her off the ladder. What a surprise and shocking set of circumstances for Leah after this. She met the businessman that terminated her employment again at her new workplace. No recollection of each other, but yet they each had a knowing.
To avoid giving spoilers, I dimply recommend you read this novel. If you like a little mystery, and an underlying development of love, this is the book.

Love Is...
When you know that God is with you all the steps of the way, to be able to forgive isn't hard because one knows it will always come out the way it is supposed to do. This is what happens to Leah in this story. It came out so beautifully for her as she had been unemployed due to being falsely accused. God was with them because, during all this happening, Leah found someone to love and love her. I only want to tell a little of the story other than to say. Pick this good read-up and see how well this author brings it together for Leah and Deshaun. When it looks like everything is turning against you, but through your trust and faith, there is someone there to help you through it all, as it was for these two.
Love is Kind was my first dive into Christian romance, and I really enjoyed it! It took about 35% of the book for me to truly get hooked, but it wasn’t overly cliché with biblical references, which I appreciated. Deshaun's character development stood out for me. Despite enjoying the story, I struggled to remember it clearly afterward. Deshaun is depicted as a wealthy, stubborn man, while Leah is portrayed as kind, genuine, and full of integrity. The pace felt a bit fast and the plot somewhat surface-level, leaving me wanting to dig deeper into the characters' lives. Overall, a solid 3-star read for me.
Wonderful book of faith forgiveness, family, reconciliation with God and finding true love when you are not looking for it Leah and Deshaun were meant for each other and find their HEA after some obstacles but what was meant to be happened Great job Faith a very uplifting story with some inspirational life lessons I will continue to read and enjoy your books Keep allowing your gifts to encourage us all
Ok. I'm a romantic. Faith delivered in this book! If I could turn back the hands of time. Leah has unwavering belief and trust in God. This story reminds us to wait on God. He does give exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ask or imagine. Leah's story, though fictional, is evidence of what the Lord has for His children, if we wait, believe, and trust.
I absolutely loved this story. Oftentimes I’m drawn to books that are extremely steamy but there are times I must take a break from those types and recenter myself. These types of books are what I need during that time. The storylines and characters are just as captivating and passionate without the more explicit details. This was a GREAT story and I enjoyed every moment. I actually didn’t want to put it down.
Foremost, Ms. Arcenesux thank you for your diligence to create characters & storylines that I’m not ashamed, embarrassed nor appreciative to read & or recommend without a caveat‼️ Meanwhile, “Love Is Kind: A Christian Romance” - Book 2 was the unpretentious reprieve I need from characters & a storylines like Leah & Deshaun journey that entertains yet also reflects my Christian beliefs, opinions, thoughts & or values. I concur with Deshaun, like Leah for him, there’s always sunshine & hope in your literary work🤩☺️👍🏾‼️
Definitely a slow burn but overall a good read. I loved Leah she was so patient and definitely kind. I loved the changes I saw in Deshaun as he courted Leah. I loved their families and everything was wonderful. I loved a good happy ending. Jacob and Coco is the worse but God knows best and both Leah and Deshaun was accelerated once the truth was revealed. Can’t wait to finish this series
I loved the way Leah prayed about everything and didn't shy away from her beliefs when in other company. Even when facing unemployment and being falsely accused. I like the life she lived and how it helped bring a soul to Christ. I would have like to see them get married and have children. Beautiful ending but it left me wanting more.
I loved this book from start to finish. Great storyline. It is so good to read stories the just feel so relatable that the characters feel like people you know. The show of walking with God and real faith examples is everything. Thank you, I am preparing to read your next book on this series. Take me to church again, I am loving it!
Deshaun was the personification of arrogant while Leah was personification of grace and kindness. Their story had me hooked from the first chapter to the very last word, wondering how this was going to play out. A well written story with loveable main and supporting characters.
Another Christian Romance novel by Faith Arceneaux lovely read . This book allows you to see people who you think are your friends only need you close to use you. But Leah and DeShan went through the good and the bad but they made it through dating into marriage. Lovely read
I love a good Grumpy x Sunshine! I think the book had a nice pace and plot! The story was beautiful and had me kicking my feet and giggling! I loved how the MMC was truly unbearable to begin with but changed because of God and the FMC. I also loved the FMC, she was so brave and kind! Great read and it was quick!
I am really enjoying this series. I love reading about Christian love. These stories are relatable and I found myself crying at one point. That’s how you know it’s a good book.
Love, love love this book. It shows God's true love in Leah poured out in everything and everyone she came in contact with. And how God's love can truly change the hardest of hearts.
This little light of mine; I'm gonna let it shine. That's the song that perfectly describes Leah. She poured out God's love to everyone she encountered and her light led Deshaun to The Light. Awesome story.
This was a great read. I enjoyed getting to know Leah and Deshaun. To learn who the person was feeding info to the other company was a shock. I’d definitely read a part 2 of this story.
Oh what a dynamic story the author produced! The second book of the series has engrossed and fascinated me. The author is fast becoming a favorite. Anticipating reading more of the author's ministry. Truly she has 1 Corinthians 23 fulfilled.
Read it in one sitting and couldn’t put it down. Excellent execution and great story line! Loved the character development and the great lessons contained throughout. 💛
The story show having faith and showing what forgiveness is. I love how she should kinds no matter what. With a job or without. This also should betrayal but with God on your side the truth will come out
This is a beautiful love story about trusting God, forgiveness, relationships, greed and so much more. It’s a Christian romance but it wasn’t boring. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and it was a good reminder that God can give you Beauty for ashes.
He will make your foe your foot stool. This was an awesome book . Everything she lose and the pain she had to endure was all worth it in the end. She help bring a soul to Christ and still continue to do what she love.
