He's Always Been Her Best Friend. Until That Wasn't Enough. Know what the problem is with crushing on your best friend? That there’s not a damn thing you can do about it. Especially if you don’t want to blow up your entire relationship. Easton is the guy I turn to when I need...well, just about everything. And what I’ve learned over the years is that friendship is more difficult to come by than hookups and boyfriends. Plus, it’s not like he sees me as anything other than his soccer playing gal pal. The one he used to sneak out of the house with when we were teenagers. But we’re not kids any more. At the end of this year, we’ll graduate and go our separate ways. Why that thought fills me with sadness, I don’t know. Actually, I do. And that’s the problem. So, when my roommate suggests going out with her hot, hockey playing cousin, it seems like the perfect opportunity to move on from this crush. According to her—and I quote—the best way to get over one guy is to get under— I’m pretty sure you know how the saying goes.

Meh, this one didn't really do anything for me. I didn't find Easton's eureka moment of realizing he was in love with his best friend that convincing. For all I know he was only being territorial since he only realized this when Sasha went on a date with the gorgeous hockey player. The whole thing just wasn't believable to me. Not to mention he is a self-proclaimed manwhore who's slept with tons of women and never had a serious relationship. And I mean like a day or so before, he was willing to set Sasha up with one of his English classmates. You don't just flip from that to omg I'm in love with my best friend and want her all to myself. 🙄 It also didn't help that this was a novella and there was no real build-up to their relationship. I might give the other full-length novels in this series a try one of these days, but this one did not work for me. 🤷🏻♀️
Safety Gang: -CW: explicit sex -Safe sex: Condoms used -No virgins; manwhore H -No cheating -No sex/intimate scenes with other people, but it is mentioned that the H sleeps around a lot -Slight OW/OM drama; OW (a fuck buddy) goes on his lap during a while trying to sleep with H and he considers taking her to his room but he eventually declines because he was confused about his feelings. The h also agreed to go on a date with OM but H crashes it -HEA with epilogue (2 years later)

So I love the series but I just didn't really get a chance to connect with these guys. Maybe if my memory wasnt terrible or I read this right on the back of the other books I would have gotten more out of it.
I'm glad I finally got to this story. For some reason I missed it while reading this series and kept wondering who Easton and Sasha were. This is a super cute and quick read. Both Easton and Sasha are great characters and I hope we get to see more of them in the book about Brooke, especially since she is Sasha's bestie.
Best friends to lovers trope - great premise, terrible execution. Slight rant about to happen:
I’m starting to realize that this author recycles her Hero’s big time. First of all, they are all athletes, to gorgeous to be real, manwhores. Literally, that describes every single one of her hero’s.
Specific to this book - Easton comes off as a douchebag. First of all, if any of my guy friends saw me out on a date with another guy and they decided to crash said date - I would be pissed. And to top that off, you basically tell me to get rid of the guy even though we are not even close to being anything romantic and the guy himself is a current manwhore? Yea nope, not having it. The girl is also a push over in the worst way. I kept waiting for her to put Easton in his place, and stand up for herself, and she pretty much just falls on her back as soon as he demands it even though up until then they have literally been nothing but friends with no signs of interest on the guys part after many years. He just woke up that day and was like huh I have a thing for my best friend, guess I’ll go over there and make her have a thing for me too.
I’ve read way better friends to lovers stories, so I’d recommend passing on this one.
Best Friends Make Great Lovers - Easton and Sasha had been best friend for years, but Sasha had been silently crushing on Easton. However, just as Sasha decided to let go of her crush and move on, Easton realised he had feelings for her and decided to stake his claim on her. Even though Sasha was initially apprehensive about entering into a relationship with Easton, their chemistry in and out of the bedroom, combined with their long term friendship, gave them the confidence they would get the chance at a happy life together. I absolutely enjoyed reading this feel-good story from the first page and didn’t really want it to end.
I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Oh to be a young adult again. Things were simple and easier then. No complications and no worries. This is how the book felt. Very laid back yet a sweet romance.
This was such a cute quick read and I’m so curious about the other books now. This MMC takes a little to realise his in love with his best friend but when he goes he goes for her and won’t stop, I love how he respects her and shows it in all actions
This was a fast-paced must-read book about two forever friends who finally figure it out—of course, with a little nudge from Sasha’s best friend and roommate, Brooke. When Brooke first brings up fixing her up with Ryder she looked at her like, “Are you cray-cray?” But when in the quad there they were in a debate about it. Easton joined them, gave a hug to Sasha from behind, and kissed the top of her head. Asked what they had been talking about. Brooke, said, she wanted to fix Sasha up with Ryder. Easton did not like that. He said, No.
He’s a hockey player and you know how they are? Brooke said Yup like football players, hello her ex. And oh yeah, him. He tells Sasha there are some nice guys in his English class whom he could talk to but just not Ryder. It's at that moment, Sasha knew she could no longer wait for Easton to see her for more than just a friend. Her heart was broken but when he asked “You want to grab lunch later?” Under normal circumstances, I’m always happy to spend time with Easton. After this enlightening discussion, however, I’m going to take a pass.
“No, sorry.” I make up an excuse on the fly. “I need to meet with one of my professors about an assignment.” He shrugs as if it doesn’t matter to him one way or the other. It’s yet another nail in the coffin. “All right. I’ll text you later.” With a quick wave, he disappears through the crowd of students moving across campus. “So, about Ry—” “I’ll do it,” I snap before I can change my mind. “Really? You’ll go out with him?” I press my lips together until they feel bloodless and nod. “Yeah.”
Brooke engages the help of her cousin Ryder to be interested in Sasha and asks her out on a date. And when Easton saw them out together he was unhappy to the point of joining their dinner date. And of course, the team members with him join them, too. She was not happy. She tells him they needed to talk right then. He almost kissed her when they were joined by Ryder. When he said, There is more going on between them so he was going to leave them to it. Sasha said no! She was not going to wait around any longer. She was moving on.
See if they can take their relationship to the next level without ruining it. These are two young people who have grown up together with tight family ties. Let's just say her date with Ryder does make him take notice of Sasha as a woman.
Get ready to swoon wicked hard over Easton! Wow! He had my heart fluttering throughout the entire story. And Sasha she is incredible! Determined, fierce and head over heels for her best friend. Not wanting to ruin the friendship despite having feelings for Easton, Sasha decides she needs to get over her feelings for him and decides to go on a date her roommate sets her up on. And holy yes, that is when is gets incredible.
Easton is not having it. This story had it all. Incredible chemistry, spicy scenes that will having you drooling. And an amazing ending that will have you wanting to read the story all over again, because it is that incredible. Jennifer’s writing blows me away, she is entertaining and swoony! A highly recommended, must read!
Oh my….short but so very dirty. I loved getting the story of Easton and Sasha. Easton realized his feelings for Sasha at the perfect time before it was too late. I for one am glad that he realized what he wanted before Sasha moved on. Even though it was a short novella it definitely set the scene up for Campus God with Brooke’s and Crosby’s story and I can’t wait to see what happens with them. I feel like Campus Flirt needs to be read just before Campus God to be ready for Brooke and Crosby. I am so glad I can dive right into Campus God!! Highly recommend reading Campus Flirt (just before Campus God for best experience), The Campus series, and Jennifer Sucevic as an author!! Jennifer is the perfect author for anyone who loves new adult, sports, bully, and young adult romances. Gotta say though I am seriously hoping we see Ryder’s story somewhere in the future!! Happy reading!!

This book was so cute! 😍
Easton & Sasha have been best friends for years. Their families have been close, but they have only ever been friends.
Sasha has always crushed on Easton, but never acted on it because she was nervous it would change their friendship.
When Sasha gets set up on a date, Easton comes to his senses about his feelings for Sasha. He will do anything in his power to make Sasha his for good.
This book was so cute and I can’t wait to dive into Campus Player! 💖
Favorite Quote: “It might have taken me a while to realize that the girl I’ve always wanted was right in front of me, but I’m there now. And you’re that girl, Sash. You always have been.”
Short and sweet. There was no drama, because it’s just a cute lil cleanser where two childhood friends become more. I mean, if you want to say the Ryder stuff is drama, or maybe angsty, I guess you could say that. But this was really just a chill piece.
I read Mine to Take and Hate You Always, which are in the Western Wildcats Hockey series by Jennifer before I read this. Which is funny, at least to me. Mine to Take is about Maverick and Willow. Hate You Always is about Ryder and Juliette (who happens to be Maverick’s sister). And Campus Flirt is about Easton and Sasha (who happened to go on a date with Ryder). I’ve really read this in the wrong order…
Safe to say, Jennifer has easily become a fave of mine!!
I really enjoyed "Campus Flirt" by Jennifer Sucevic. This is Easton and Sasha's story. These two characters have been best friends their whole life and it's not until she starts to date a playboy hockey player - that Easton finally realizes his feelings have changed. This was a great short story - I wish it had been a full-length book. These are excellent college romance books with alpha male football leads that leave the reader swooning. The storylines and characters are well-written and engaging. You just can't help but want to see them all get their happy endings. If you are looking for a fun series to read - look no further. It's a great addition to your book collection. Happy Reading...enjoy!
Another great read from Jennifer. The characters of Sasha and Easton are absolutely adorable. I loved the re-living of past memories as their relationship changed into the budding steamy romance.
Easton’s character is this adorably kind, protective and gorgeous book boyfriend that finally recognizes what’s been right in front of him the entire time. It’s sweet how the recognition of this change and the way the characters connect.
Also being a fan of Jennifer’s books and have followed the Campus series and now her new one HATE YOU ALWAYS, I love seeing how the other characters from the different books intersect with each other!! <3
I love this author - LOVED campus Heartthrob - but i didn't feel like i knew these characters - the tension didn't build for me. And I know it was a novella but I've read novellas that did it. And 2 things bothered me : 1 - he started calling her babe right after their first romantic encounter. That just didn't fit to me. After Knowing eachother for so long it felt objectifying. And then he gets 'bossy' ? in the bedroom. Can't remember how she put it exactly but sasha said it was unlike him and I just don't think he would change that fast, that easily. They should still be the friends they were but with additional intimacy , another layer ... But not that different.
First of all, I'm not sure where this one fits into the series as I haven't read any of the other books (yet). I realize - given the length and fast pacing of the story, that it was a introduction to the campus series, I just wish it had been longer and dwelled on the relationship unfolding between Sasha and Easton - because I really liked that and the best friends turned lovers is actually one of my favorite tropes.
All in all a good and very quick read and I just hope that Lola and Asher gets their own story too.
Sasha and Easton have been friends forever and they have their own ways of communicating. When Sasha is persuaded to go on a date with a hockey player, something clicks inside Easton and he realises Sasha is his girl and the love he has is the forever kind. Sasha doesn't want to ruin their friendship but she's been in love with Easton for so long she's happy to keep the status quo. The chemistry between them is hot and when they finally realise they're soul mates it just gets hotter. This was a brilliant little read and I wish it had been a lot longer.
Sasha I'm in love with my bestfriend Easton he plays college football and is completely oblivious to my feelings but when he forbids me from going on a Date with a hockey player that's it time to move on. Easton I'm in trouble because I've discovered she's a girl like I want her bad so am I going to let some player hockey guy date her nope even if it means I have to ruin our friendship to have a relationship with Sasha it's way past time I go there.
2-2.5⭐️honestly I think is really hard to have a good friends to lovers romance in a novella, you just don’t get that friendship connection that you want! It felt like these 2 MCs weren’t best friends at all really before they became involved with each other romantically, like that feeling just didn’t come across! I needed a bit more of the friendship before the romance to get that proper feeling of love between the two!
"She's never been one of those girls who constantly has a full face of makeup or her hair perfectly styled. I'll admit that I enjoy f***ing those chicks, but they aren't the kind I want to eventually settle down with". WHAT THE ACTUAL F*** IS HAPPENING HERE? Wouldn't have expected this level of misogyny from an author who is a woman, I guess some of us are indeed still living in the 18th century.
Cute quick story about besties Easton and Sasha who have been friends since elementary school. Sasha has subtly been pining over Easton for years and when she decides to move in with her life and go on a date with her roommates hot hockey player cousin, Easton crashes the date and realizes he wants Sasha for himself. He professes his feelings to her and they decide to give it a whirl and it works out because they already know everything about each other HEA.

I adore the Western Wildcats universe overall and am a big lover of Jennifer’s books. The existing friendship of Sasha and Easton is touched on at the start and things develop once he realizes that he doesn’t like seeing her on a date with another guy. I was glad she didn’t just leap but took time to decide if she felt it was right. It’s a short read so you don’t get tons of details but it was a fun dip into their world.
Wow this really took me off guard. I have read so many of this authors books And have never been disappointed before. I was very disappointed in this short story. There didn’t seem to be much story to it. It felt more like something a high school student would call a book. I truly have loved this campus series I hope the next book will be more up to par.
Was it enjoyable? Yes, even though it was short. Did I like the couple? Yes—best friends to lovers? Love it.
The chemistry was great, I could feel their connection. But, it didn't really have any WOW to it. If anything, it seemed to be more of a setup story for the next two couples.
I loved Campus Flirt! I really liked Sasha and enjoyed Easton. I liked the other characters and am looking forward to discovering the rest of this series. The writing was done really well and I enjoyed the plot line, the editing was really well done as well. The only thing i wish is that it was longer.
2.5 Stars I just didn't buy Easton realizing he was in love with his best friend Sasha. There was something missing. Maybe chemistry? Or maybe it was just the length of this book? It was more of a novella. Everything felt rushed and surface level between these two people who had been best friends for years.
it is a very very short story, something that does not allow the readers to bond with the characters and actually ship them. there is no tension, no build up, no conflict, and honestly? it feels as if some chapters were missing. i would love to read the next book in the series, but i do not know if it will be the same thing as this.
