If you are a practitioner of meditation, you will certainly one day come to yoga, one does not go without the other. That's what I did (during the lockdown) but I had to find the right current and instinctively I found myself between Hatha Yoga and Power Yoga being passionate about fitness at the beginning. I had to start learning about their practices and I must admit that it's a very precise discipline, difficult and that you have to have prior knowledge to avoid injury even if it's a slower sport at the rhythm of our inspirations and expirations. I really recommend this book which poses a good framework in asanas (postures), of the hygiene of life which I had intuitively adopted (diet more balanced and respectful of nature seeing nature taking again its rights in full Metropolis during the lockdown). The author translates for us the different currents of the practice of famous yogis that you cannot know and Sanskrit (the ancient writings of the yogis) and gives us a very concrete point (even if it lacks some precisions) on meditation (Pranayama occupying a central part in this type of Yoga). With my experience of meditation for many years and many sports, I could have enough hindsight to recommend this book to you before starting your practice (meditation/Yoga) without being too disturbed especially if it is power yoga for example, or to learn more intellectually without being too disturbed especially if it is power yoga for example, or to learn more intellectually without engaging in this sport.
Basic and informative to pick up and put down at your leisure. Some spiritual and historic insight, but mostly an instruction manual. Full of good tips, ideas, and explanations, very useful!
