I wrote this book over ten years ago in response to the birth of my beautiful niece Elizabeth who has Down syndrome. At the time, I was looking for a story to help my young sons understand their new cousin's condition, something that explained Down syndrome in an honest way that would be meaningful to a young child. I was fortunate enough to find just the right publisher and to have my manuscript accepted for publication. I hope that this book has been of use to other families over the years.
