This one was a creepy one for sure. I love this series and I need answers for Ella about the gang that murdered her dad. I wish there would be more info on that part of the story. All in all, it was a good crime/mystery read.

Interesting investigation of horror themed murders. However, I listened to this as an audiobook and was not a fan of the narration.

This one was just ok for me, part of it was due to the horror theme, not a fan of those movies, usually am hiding behind my hands. Also, this far in to the series, it feels like there is a check list to the story and not much moving in the larger story line. At this point all I want to know is who killed Ella's dad and why. Each book has maybe 1 nugget that is relevant.

If I had never read the others, I would find it captivating, but Iike another reviewer said, these are becoming a template. The underlying story that we’re all really here to complete is taking way too long and starting to feel like a money grab. Blake, I love your books, I’ll buy others, but I’m confused why this is dragging out so much?

It also feels like the reader is less and less cared for when it comes to editing. Maybe that’s silly? But to stay so invested in the series, I want to see production invested in their work, too.

Can Ella reallllly handle all these injuries? I learn so much from these books, it’s fascinating. It’s clear Blake is researching. But as a Kinesiology major, what Ella’s body goes through is impossible.

Interesting adventures for Ella and Mia, but please get someone who can proofread a little better.

Page 41 --> The line reads --- Ripley and Mia both turn to Ella? Now how can that be.

Page 143 --> The line Refers to Harry Faulkner then all of a sudden she's calling him Larry 🙄

I truly enjoyed the book, just found myself rereading some pages.

Ella has always loved horror movies and with her photographic memory all the movies are stored in her brain in all their bloody carnage. Her new assignment has her thinking she's walked into a real life horror movie. With her soon to be retired partner Mia Ripley, Ella finally figures out the "plot" and confronts the killer of 3 women on a darkened sound stage in an abandoned theater.

One of my favorite of the series so far. Though that may have something to do with the fact that I’m obsessed with horror movies. So I’m biased and enjoyed the storyline so much.

This is book fifteen yet somehow the story still feels unexpected and new. With each book I just get more enthralled. The writing keeps me on my toes.

I’m excited to see where the story is heading.

This book was basic. No character development. No real suspense. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if I was familiar with the series.

FBI investigates murders outside of LA that mirror slasher scenes.

Potential to be good

This book has a very creative plot, but some of the theories embraced by the two agents are not realistic at all. They're more of a convenient way to add an obstacle to the investigation. This series needs an editor. It could be really great.

Did it again!

Blake Pierce has a way of getting you wrapped up in what is going to happen next. He gives you ,the reader clues but you never see the end result coming

I really enjoyed how this book tied in with other horror stories/literature, like Halloween, Pin-head, and Nightmare on Elm Street.
