The epic saga of Mercy Rising continues in The Uprising, where Mercy and Orion fight for what they stand Freedom!
Mercy misses Zion fiercely but will not return until she ensures her home is safe and able to remain free. She knows the cost of freedom and hopes that her warriors won’t have to pay the price. This war will test her faith and skills as she fights against a global enemy.
Orion cannot let go of what happened to Mercy in the hands of The Order. He is bound and determined to not let her out of his sight again. The further into the war they go, the more this determination puts them all at risk. He has to learn to let go and trust in his Creator to win the battle of his heart.
Dutton has proved his loyalty to his nation. As he stands for the freedom their country has always stood for, The Uprising unfolds with a great show of unity. Will they be able to hold their nation together long enough to beat The Order?
Mercy Rising is a clean, dystopian survival fiction series based on the children, now grown, from Grant Us Mercy, a post-apocalyptic survival fiction series. If you haven’t read Grant Us Mercy yet, you’ll appreciate the gripping back story.
This is an incredible final part to this much loved series! I can't believe it is over, I feel I lived the stories with these beautifully developed characters & their dystopian world! As always great levels of action & tension, great pace, as always a really great interesting read! I do recommend for all that love this genre!
I absolutely have loved the Mercy Rising series. As excited as I was for this FINALE, I am so sad for it to be over. My very favorite series by one of my very favorite authors, I recommend a weeks vacation and a lot of tea and tissues for all the feels and the feel goods!
Mercy Rising: The Uprising is technically the 6th book in the Mercy Rising series. These are not standalones and should be read and enjoyed in order. If you're like me and you love all the community and connections and all the things, you should start with Grant Us Mercy and it's nine installments plus one bonus book. And next up is Mercy Rising with it's six 300+ page books as well as one bonus book.
Beginning with her parents story in Grant Us Mercy, this book is the SEVENTEENTH Mercy book and it did not disappoint. Full of love and laughter along side some war and tears, DC Little has touched my heart and brought me closer to my Creator with every word she wrote.
These are totally clean dystopian fiction with no cursing, no intimacy and minimal violence which is not overtly described.
My thoughts about this book: the things the author does so well!
• The author created a post apocalyptic world with great descriptions. I could envision myself among Zion.
• I felt immersed in the scenes of the book. I felt the tension and emotions of characters.
• I was drawn into the story immediately. There were vivid depictions that immersed me deep into the story.
• The story was very suspenseful and full of action.
• I felt the charactors emotions and the story was very intense sometimes.
• The story was told from the alternating viewpoints of Mercy and Orion. I liked this style of writing.
• This was a clean read. No swearing and no sex. I appreciated that fact.
I was given an advance copy of this book by the author. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.
It is sad to let go of the characters from this series and it is one I will reread. This is a series that must be read in order.
Marcy and Orion have to work with a variety of people to stop the war in this post apocalyptic series. The plot is very well written and the characters are amazing. At times when I thought I knew what was going to happen the author surprised me. I loved the way the story flowed and the ending is very satisfying.
The story moves quickly and keeps the reader on the edge many times. It is a clean story full of action.
Wow!!! The Uprising is the perfect wrap up to the Mercy Rising series! This is a very satisfying finale to the series! I will miss Mercy!!! Hoping she reappears in the next series!! I highly recommend this book!!!
This whole series started out ok but stagnated and became almost boring for several books and until the last several chapters of this one.......it just went on and on too long........sort of a letdown from the previous series
