Very good read, descriptions of mudras, breathe exercises, poses and meditation exercises were very good. Great for beginners and also for people wanting a recap in certain areas. Well written and an easy and light read. Enough to entice you to delve deeper into specific areas of interest.

This book has been sitting on my shelf for years. Literally, years. Since I have been participating in the May challenge at my yoga studio, I thought it was finally time to delve in. I liked this book, I loved the inspiration and the quotes. My only problem, was that it is clearly for beginners, and I don't feel as though I grew all together. I learned a bit, but not much. The things that were new to me, were briefly touched on and left me wanting more information. I do think that this is a great book for beginners, or for people who want to know more about yoga in general. It is well written, as well as easy to read and understand. All in all, I'm glad that I read it, and look forwards to doing some research to answer the resulting questions that I have.

I can't remember when I bought this book, but I'm sure it's almost 10 years ago or so. In this book, the author explained the history behind yoga, and also many expressions that I have never heard of before. Many yoga positions were explained in details and what I enjoyed about them was that the author wrote about why they are good for you. The book is great for beginners! Overall, it was a nice and informative book if you're new to yoga.
