With the help of her new allies and the full power of the Witchblade, Sara makes her final attempt to banish the creatures back to the underworld from where they came. Plus, one of those new allies holds a very special link to Sara’s past, one that will change her life forever! Sara resolves to take down Gallo and goes to Drexler to get help in doing so, seeing Lisa for the first time in ages in the process. When she returns to the precinct she gets a warning from the chief about Jake’s behaviour and about her work. Drex gives Sara a name which she follows up, only to find an old man. He has photos of himself with prostitutes, one called Sandy, who he was set up with by his doctor. When Sara speaks to the doctor she finds he was setting up patients with prostitutes paid for using public money, and that the pimp involved was Gallo. A few internet searches later and Sara finds out that Sandy was murdered and the crime never solved. Sara tracks down Gallo and using the Witchblade gets a confession out of him which she tapes. Two weeks later Gallo is sent down for first degree murder. Witchblade Top Cow Image New Comic Book May 2000 Issue #39. They gave us closure. We got to see the future, battles against "evil". At least all my hope is on that. Brand new cases involving the Wicthblade and the rest of the forces of the universe. I want to see things going really bizarre. That was the promise.

As for this volume, it was a closure for Lisa and her past with Sara. I guess it was time to move on from the mob and those past Links, Sara evolved and so is her background.
Lisa finally got mental peace and now that she is all grown up she has her own life, and she doesn't need Sara to be there everytime. Still I honestly wish they had do more with her character, I feel there was more to say about Lisa and Sara's relationship, they were friends, Sara was her protector, she was acting like her mother and had this big weight on her bc of Lisa. I feel that there was more to say about the 2 of them. More adventures and more cases, but well.

It was a nice volume, very NYPD like, no Wicthblade, just a detective doing her job and finishing some business. Sara can be the bearer of the Wicthblade, but she is a good detective, and is nice to see that they still want to remind us that.
It was really good.
