Pack Origins #2

Knot Your Problem

Rate this book
For an omega in hiding, one moment, one breath, can change everything.

Lexie is a survivor. She’s built a life for herself exactly the way she wants it. Rescuing abused women and hiding in plain sight from a corrupt world, she relies on no one. Lexie has convinced the world, including herself, that she’s a beta. Until the Crash. When intruders invade her peaceful haven, they let the world and its perils in, too.

When the world goes dark, and trouble comes knocking, Lexie does what she’s always done. Takes charge and fights like hell to keep everyone she cares about safe. Lexie has no problem lighting a match and sparking a rebellion.

Along the way, three mysterious alphas and a protective, elusive silver fox break through her carefully built walls and all their secrets come spilling out. Can they learn to trust and to share? Will they defy the world to become the pack they all so desperately need, before hidden dangers tear them apart?

Pack Origins is a steamy omegaverse romance series set in an apocalyptic world. Each book is an interconnected standalone featuring a new pack with a HEA. The interwoven story of the Crash will conclude in book three.

You can expect multiple love interests and POVs, varying MM relationships within the packs, a fast-paced story with action and plot, minimal relationship angst, a few laughs, and plenty of found families. Oh and spice, lots of spice. You can find the full content advice at the front of each book and on the author’s website.

Book 1 in this series was so great I was honestly a little worried going into book 2. Fear (k)not everyone, LA Clyne BLEW it out of the park! I loved this book and I totally wanna be Lexie when I grow up. With why-choose books sometimes it’s hard to really flesh out characters and emotions well in a standalone book and this author really succeeds in this area. I was so emotionally invested and really loved the evolution and emotions these characters portrayed. The world building and imagery is also so well done! I want a super sexy treehouse with a waterfall shower!
Of course the steamy scenes were GREAT and plentiful. I just loved this book and honestly couldn’t pick a favorite guy. Overall sweet, sexy, emotional and action packed.
She’s totally been edging us with the characters for book 3 so I’m already ready for it! The intro we got in this book to these characters!😱
A couple things I really appreciated:
-The author includes a pretty thorough recap from book one at the beginning of this book. That was so helpful! Why doesn’t everyone do this?!
-There is a Pinterest link full of inspo photos for the characters, scenery, buildings, etc. Again, why doesn’t everyone do this?! I loved seeing how everything was “supposed” to look. This was also included in book 1 and I loved it.

You meet this heroine in book one and I am obsessed with her. This story had me in a chokehold since the beginning. I am also a sucker for a silver fox and this man 😮‍💨. Lexie was the badess of bad ass women!!! This book is still in a dystopian world. I think I also was into this one because Lexie is like not up for love with these guys and they kinda have to convince her. Good guys trying to save and protect a community 👌🏾

- treehouse spicy scenes
- Spice
- Silver Fox daddy
- emotional
- Forced proximity
- Grumpy/sunshine
- Sexy chase
- Fated mates
- Scent matching

Ok so I didn’t love this one as much as I did the first one a few years ago. It could be that I’m just in a much different mood now, but this is the second book this week that I’ve had a hard time really connecting to the characters.
I don’t know if it’s 100% my mood, or if it’s just the books themselves.
I did really enjoy some of the more playful moments between Lexie and her guys. Bear, too. I love when a pet acts like they’re part of the group.

The intimate moments weren’t everything I wanted them to be though.
And the big plot of the series just didn’t mesh as well as I’d have liked.
I don’t know.
I’m probably just in a funk.🤷🏻‍♀️

Knot Your Problem is the second book in the Pack Origins Series by L.A. Clyne. This story starts near the end of book one and goes off with Lexie story. Lexie is a strong, smart FMC. She runs the farm with her brothers and everyone respects her. Once Sam and Dio put their eyes on her - they know. She is theirs. So much action going on. The farm is being targeted, the nearby town is being targeted, and they need to save the Omegas from the Palace. Loved watching Lexie fall for her guys and watch her guys love and respect her too. Cannot wait to see what happens next. Some TW to watch out for. Looking forward to see what happened to of my two favorite omegas!

If you thought book 1 of the Pack Origins series was amazing you'd be correct! However hold onto your sanity and your panties because book 2 is just as incredible!

I instantly fell in love with Lexie in the first book and could not wait to sink my teeth into her story. The 4 hunks that form her pack are perfect for her in everyway and the spice! oooo girls be ready because this is some of the best spice I have read EVER!!!
The plot development in book 2 has me shaking, all the twists and turns I did not see coming, you can bet I am racing to download book 3! I NEED more!!!

Definitely Knot Your Problem

I hadn’t read the first book but the recap at the beginning of this one was enough for me and I may go and read Maia’s story at some point but not now.

I liked the idea of the Crash and how it was handled in the community. You could actually feel the sense of family with all the support offered.

Lexie was a nice and likable FMC. She made rational decision and kept a clear head and heart when so many would have just given up on the guys (Sam I’m looking at you). I’m glad they found each other and all they learned together paints a very intriguing picture.

Relatively low drama despite the setting. Well written with humour, action and relatable characters.

I enjoyed this story and can’t wait for Ava’s.

I love the first book so, so much. I tried very hard to enjoy this book but I was pretty shocked/angry from about the beginning. I have a major issue with the claiming with between Lexie and Dio. I feel that Sam was betrayed by Dio by marking and claiming Lexie, the first time they are ever alone together. It really irks me that Lexie says some dumb ass shit about how she would never want to come between Dio and Sam but she didn't even think twice about him when they full of desire and lust, and basically marked and claimed Dio because that's what she wanted to do. Sam and Dio are family and I understand that in Dios mind he claiming her for both of them or that's what the author eluded too but that isn't at all factual. Sam and Dio have been basically inseparable since childhood and I know they both reacted to Lexie as if she was their mate and she is but I think the whole situation was unacceptable. Nobody stopped to be like I can't claim you until Sam does to because we are family. I think that falls on Dio. I think Sam should have lost it and left because neither of them actually thought about him knowing he was Lexie's mate as well. He wasn't even considered and all Dio says is yeah sorry bro I wasn't intending on it, like what?? I literally threw my phone and stopped reading the book for 3 days because I was so mad.

I do enjoy the background story of the crash. It ads another layer to the story that helps the stories mean more.

Lexie is the worst

I liked Lexie in the first book but I genuinely hated her in this book. We kept being told she was compassionate and smart but she kept putting her own emotions over everyone else and doing incredibly stupid things. Her pride and stubbornness regularly hurt people around her and when they got upset at her they had to apologize. Her and Sam pissed me off. She didn't do anything to help him ever, and in the epilogue acts like she somehow saved him when she was just a bitch a lot of the time. Sam deserved better by a mile. Her trauma responses were all justified but his weren't. She has 0 growth and doesn't ever take responsibility for anything she does. She just gets angry that everyone isn't constantly agreeing with her and letting her do whatever she wants. Maia was great in the first book but wow Lexie was awful in this one. We're supposed to think she's a strong badass FMC but really she's just whiny and immature.

Lexi, Dave, Dio, Pala, and Sam

This book was so freaking good. If you love omegaverse, then I highly recommend this series. It has a ton of amazing characters that you'll love. It kinda blows me away with how well written it is since it's the author's second book. It has a great storyline with some pretty awesome fmc's. Lexi has a heart of gold. Her guys were pretty awesome too. I love the family they have all created and the life on the farm. I can't wait for book 3!

Absolutely loved all the main. Characters in this book. Lexie is tough as nails with a traumatic past but doesn’t let that stop her from helping those around her. Her men all have something in their past they need to overcome but it’s amazing how it makes them stronger and makes them better for the pack. While there’s no cliffhanger for Lexie and her pack there was a lot of foreshadowing for what will come in the next book. I can’t wait for book 3!

Each book is better

Ok y’all this series is L.A. Clyne’s first and I’m blown away. The second book is even better than the first in this series. I have never read any omegaverse book like these. It’s a breath of fresh air to read something so original. I am so sucked into this world this series created. I’m hanging on ever word, just waiting for all the things to unfold. Literally, on the edge of my seat. Now, a bit of the good and the icks…

For being a omegaverse why choose / RH it’s not the spiciest, it has some spice but it’s not what you expect for a why choose or omega book. It’s more tame and definitely sparse. It’s definitely more plot focused of a book.

The support characters are some of the best I’ve read. Each book builds more of this found family that sucks me in. And I love seeing our previous book cast nd what they are up to. It was done beautifully as they didn’t over take this book they just all fit together perfectly.

Suspenseful AF! There are so many unknowns constantly that you are on your toes always anticipating what’s next.

Now some thing that bothered me was that our beta seemed very much on the outside during the majority of the book. Part of which is actually part of his role and who he is but I didn’t feel the connection or pull he and Lexie supposedly had. Her inner dialogue was solely focused on her alphas as were her actions and plans for the future in the entire book up until she claimed him. He definitely had more of a connection with the alphas than her as it was written. So, although it says there is this deep love we didn’t actually get to see it with Lexie and him unfortunately. I wanted to. I know there were a lot of moving pieces and players in this but I just felt that was something that was overlooked and forgotten.

Also, I really wanted Prime alpha to help prime Alpha ya know..the period where Sam was out of control and lost he needed the other Prime to step up and explain and help him through it. It never happened though. Leif was the only one to even say anything about it and that was a huge disappointment to me and lost storyline. Seriously, I have no clue how that was left out. Sam suffered endlessly and given that his new brother in law was a prime alpha and had also experienced it…but the other pack and other prime didn’t step up more and explain was disappointing. Leif just mentioned it then that was it.

Now, let me just say that I can NOT wit for the next book and it better include Ava, our male omega, the lil security guy, the twins and the feral alpha. I am so desperately wishing and waiting. Oh and also, let’s take down the bad guys and have all the good primes come together and demolish them without lifting a finger…just pure raw strength !!

I think I liked this one even more than the first

And I loved the first.

We’re really diving into the apocalypse aspect in this story. Don’t get me wrong, the fact that things are out of hand in this world is clear in book one, but it become even more clear in this one. Lexie is an omega who has hid the fact that she is an omega her entire life. But at the end of book one, two hot as heck dudes show up and their scents immediately make her omega come out to play. But she is so freaking strong and bad*ss that she doesn’t let that stop her from being the boss b**ch she’s always been.

I love her. Honestly, this 5 stars is for Lexie. Her guys are great, don’t get me wrong. I loved that we get a little silver fox, call me daddy action. But she’s just so awesome. She makes a couple really stupid choices, but I understood her motivations. She goes from being the ‘save everyone’ beta to the more vulnerable omega so quickly that it’s not like ‘save everyone’ Lexie is just going to disappear. The fact that her incredible Alpha brothers defer to her when they aren’t available says so much about who she is.

Did I love the way every aspect of the romance plays out? Not really. There were a couple of hold out moments within the pack that felt like they took too long. But the author really managed to justify the choices that I didn’t necessarily like. Again, LA Clyne (in her second book) is proving to be a really good storyteller…but not a great editor. The issues aren’t as intense as they were in book one, but I really hope that when she’s able to make a bit more money as an author she’s able to go back and get a really nice edit on these stories. They deserve to be seen as the great stories they are and not dismissed over fixable editing issues. Trust me when I say that is a complement.

Overall, do I recommend? Absolutely. Especially if you love omegaverse stories. It’s a strong narrative and intriguing overall storyline in regards to the world building. I cannot wait for book three. The spice is also really good. Five stars.

Ugh. Way to make everyone related. Really cringe and totally unnecessary. Ronan trying to dominate and claim is sister..just no. This did not need revelations of half siblings. So absurd it really ruins things at the end.

I was interested in reading Lexie’s story but honestly I just ended up disliking her so much.

Sam was just a Damon Jr. and had no real personality beyond leaking dominance.

Dio was great. And Pala wasn’t bad either. Kind of rode the silent dark type a bit much.

Dave was lost to me in this book. I don’t feel a romantic connection. I feel a fatherly connection. The daddy kink was hinted at only for Dave to say no. So what’s the point of mentioning it? His whole sob story over his murdered daughter… wtf even was that? So unneeded.

This again had the same issue as the first one where conversations and internal monologues were just too squeaky perfect. At times this book felt more like a soapbox than a book to be enjoyed.

The whole main plot of the Crash was also just completely lost. Now it’s just about a rich pack who wants to be more rich and screw over people. Who also wants to breed omegas. The two things really don’t mix. I don’t see why they aren’t just attacking the farm. They obviously outnumber them if they have the whole of the military, no?

I’m hoping Ava and Cary’s story brings things back around again. She’s clearly got some secrets. Part of me doesn’t want to read it since it’s going to be more sickly sweet but I’ve already got the book so..

I couldn’t put the first book in this series down. It was kind of unique because it’s an omegaverse meets dystopian. It was intense and exciting because, in this world, packs are basically outlawed. People don’t really know all that much about alphas and beta. The omegas are shipped off to this school, where they are basically just sold to super-rich alphas. But they are just always pairs. So, in the first book, we saw the crash happen and Maia finding the farm and, ultimately, her pack. The whole time, we also see them discover what all of this means, but it also rolls into this book because Lexie is Maia’s new friend, and basically, her brother is part of Maia’s pack. So we see her quite a bit in the first book. But in this one, we see her learn more about herself, discover what pack life could be like, and get a little more of this world. Lexie also puts herself in danger to save other women trying to escape harmful situations, which comes up a lot in this book. I love that side of Lexie. But this whole thing was perfect. Overall, I liked the first one more, but this book in this series was really nice. I’m curious to see what happens in the next book because it will either wrap up the series or there might be another book. Still, I’m so curious about what’s going on with these two. Anyway, I really love this series so far and can’t wait to get into the next one.

Loved it

The second story of the Pack Origins. It's a spicy omegaverse wrapped around an amazing post apocalyptic dystopian world. Good guys trying to save and protect their community from all the mayhem and uncertainty going on around them. They're all ex military. They resigned their military life because they were being asked to do things that were way outside their comfort zone. Packs were banned but they had formed a pack even without realising they were doing it. Its in their basic nature and the mysterious, secretive group behind the apocalypse were set on destroying.
This is an omegaverse that is so different. I loved it and cannot wait for the next book.

Knot Your Problem is the second book in the Pack Origins series by L.A. Clyne. I've never read such amazing books from a baby author before. I love the whole universe, the world building is great, set in a post apocalyptic era, the storyline is well thought of, and the characters are so endearing and interesting with all their own backstories. In this one, we follow Lexie, a beta from book 1, as she discovers the thruth about herself and finds a pack of yummy alphas and a smoldering and protective beta. The Crash is still going strong but there are a lot more answers about why and how it happened. It's got everything you love from Omegaverse and more!

absolutely love it!

I absolutely have been loving these books! I really enjoy the character building and world building. And while the story has happened over a fairly short amount of time, it doesn’t feel rushed to me. I also am a fan of how each book isn’t really a standalone. They are a continuation of the story as a whole just with each different pack’s perspectives. I have read plenty of series where that seems to be the case, but none do it quite like this. Each book ends on a high note, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions. I cannot wait to read the next!

This series is addicting!

I am so in love with these characters and the whole series. I was glad that the characters from the first book are still central to the story. I adored Lexie. She is such a tough, strong FMC. Dio and Pala are such good characters. I love how they protected Lexie while also standing back and letting her do her thing. Sam is so powerful and I loved seeing his devotion (and letter writing) to Lexie. And sweet sweet Dave. I’m so glad he’s in the mix. I am counting down the days to the next book.

enjoyed the first book but struggled with this

Again this only got 2* as I dnf. I got to 80% in this but really struggled. The writing is ok, the characters are well enough developed and the storyline has huge potential. I really enjoyed the first book but found this one boring. It took me a week to get to 80%. Likes the idea of the letters but it slowed the storyline down hugely. Storyline got lost between the long steamy scenes and the letter scenes. I tried so hard to finish it but it was too much of a chore so accepted defeat and gave up.

I liked Lexie from the first time I encountered her in the previous book. She is fierce, sassy and does not beat around the bush.
As it turns out she has some secrets herself that pop up here that would change her perspectives.
This second installment offers some revelations as to the entire agenda behind the government and the military and I loved the little twists the author has offered here.
I am intrigued to see how Ava's story shall develop as it seems there is more to the fragile looking omega than anyone suspected.

When I read the first book, for some reason I thought it was a stand alone. It was not. And it was the only one out. I have thought of that book many times since. That tells me it was excellent. Not many books stick with me, a ton are the same story, with different names and faces. This second book did not disappoint. Lexie has a heart of gold, and I love her. Dave is my favorite. Probably because I was rooting for him from book 1. All the guys were stand up, and real. They had faults, but they recognized it. On to book 3!

vale? vale.

Really enjoyed this book, the series has been great with strong characters and an interesting plot throughout. This is Lexie's story and it has a few twists along the way too.
Lexie has always identified as a Beta but when 2 new Alphas show up she starts to question everything she's known!
Great characters and a fast paced plot kept me engrossed in the book to the end. Can't wait to read Ava's story next.

Wow I loved being back in this world. I loved Lexie finding her pack with Sam (Maia’s brother) Dio, Pala, and Daddy Dave ;) I absolutely loved how much we still got to see of Maia and her pack as well especially the surprise at the end! This continued story of the Crash and how all the characters are tied together has been so intriguing I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen and get to see more of Ava and Cary too!

another great installment in this world

I loved the first book (Maia’s story) and couldn’t wait to hear Lexie’s story and boy, it did not disappoint. Lots of secrets and twists and sexy times with delicious alphas (and a beta). Now the only problem will be waiting for the next book to see what happens with Ava, Cary, the twins, and the feral alpha. With so many loose ends out there still, I am hooked and waiting!

Once again, hooked from the first page! This one continues on from book 1, but is Lexie's story as she comes out as an Omega when her true mates turn up. There is still plenty of other action going on as they all come to terms with the changed world after the crash. Surprise after surprise has you guessing till the end, where you get some interesting surprises! I loved how Sam had to work to control his alpha and gain Lexie's trust and affection, while Dio and Pala were able to just jump right in. Another great read from this new author!

The first marking felt so wrong. Her and Dio definitely should’ve talked about it more. They weren’t so caught up by their instincts because they had a talk about if they were both sure. When Sam came and saw that they had marked each other I felt so gross. It doesn’t feel like a good way to start a RH. So I quit. I think her and Dio were both selfish to have done it without consulting her other ‘mate’ I now just want Sam to find someone else.

3.5 stars rounded down.
The first book gave me such high expectations that it was hard to read the second one without thinking it'll be better. It was a nice continuation of what happened in the first book, but I didn't feel as connected to the characters as the first one, and the plot was kind of boring and predictable which is saying something cuz I cannot predict anything ever. Sadly will not be continuing the series :/

Omegaverse mixed with the crash of society? Yes, Yes, Yes!!! This book has such a strong female lead. Lexie has a background of trauma but with support and healing is now helping run the farm and has also set up a network to rescue domestic violence victims. Her pack are all in from the start (well, one or two of them may be holding out slightly for their own reasons but luckily it’s not for long). We get to see past characters from Knot Your Princess which is great and they all play a big part in Knot Your Problem. Lots of twists and turns and I can’t wait for the next book in the series ❤️
