My name is Kenneth Klein, CEO of Klein Investments Inc. and one of the richest men in the world. Few things faze me but when I see Kasey at a company retreat in Hawaii, something roars in me from out of nowhere. A hunger. A primal need to be with her and claim her as my own. I think for a moment that finding out she’s my son’s girlfriend is enough to quash my animalistic desire. But he breaks up with her in front of me—in front of my other employees—and humiliates her. Protectiveness surges in my chest but a dark part of me is ecstatic I can now have her for myself. The more time I spend with Kasey, the more consumed I am by this obsession. Obsession to make her mine. And mine alone. I am nothing if not persistent. And I feel sorry for anything—or anyone—who tries to get between me and her. Only fools will want to stand in my way.
I found this short read pretty enjoyable. I also liked that the dark spot actually affected their relationship and it wasn’t something else the had to overcome together.
The only thing that annoyed me was the mean text Kenneth sent saying to never contact him again, then he completely loses it and thinks she’s being unreasonable when she needs the tiniest bit of space just because he apologizes. Ugh.
2.5 stars. It was all good, until the hero started acting like a stupid brat. Are you a man over 40 or just a 4 yo having a tantrum? Holy freaking sh1t it was irritating. He didn't trust her. He was selfish. He didn't give her the chance to explain. Not once but twice! And SHE was the one apologizing TO HIM in the end.. like, WTF?? She should have expected for him to kiss her feet and grovel for her forgiveness. Not get treated like a doormat.
The start of the book from Kenneth’s POV hooked me immediately. I settled in and was prepared to love this book and find a new author to binge all their works. To paint the picture, I was excited. Kenneth was mature, knew what he wanted, and had an insta-love that held delicious promise.
So imagine my surprise when, after continuously touting his maturity and self control gained from age, he acts COMPLETELY out of the already established character (SPOILER) by flipping out over a misunderstanding and rage quitting the relationship. Then, when he realizes he was wrong and goes to mend fences, he proceeds to have another man child reaction over something that he caused with his own actions! He lectures the FMC for quitting on them so easily WHEN HE LITERALLY DID IT FIRST and then proceeds TO DO THE SAME BLEEDING THING AGAIN. If you’re scratching your head now and wondering where the sexy adult you crushed on in chapter one went, me too girl. At this point the FMC should call him on his nonsense and remind him he has now easily given up on them twice and he needs to slow down and talk things out, you know, like a grown up. But nope, she acts like she’s to blame for all the things. At that point I just started skimming to get to the end.
I may try one more book by this author, some of her other shorts have blurbs that catch my eye and maybe this was just a one off bad write. Two stars for the quality syntax and promising start, but holy moly I recommend you skip this one.
Kenneth seeing Kasey has packed her bags after telling her to not contact him and ignoring all her attempts at communicating like the actual adult she is: “wow…like I can’t believe you’d give up that easily..you clearly don’t care about me” AND HE’S THE OLDER ONE OF THE TWO??? Homie has the mental capacity of a middle school girl right in the middle of her first period. I was loving this until he decided 13 would be a good mentality to run with. I was screaming at my kindle when Kasey is telling herself she’s the one needing to apologize. Gaslighting gets thrown around a little too much but it fits here and this guys has brainwashed the way younger woman into thinking she’s the problem. I can’t dude. I can’t.
A great, steamy read but full of love and romance.
Pretty much an insta love relationship between an alpha male and his son’s ex.
Shenanigans arise I. The quest for happily ever after and the main characters strive for their HEA. Both outside forces and their own insecurities cause problems. The alpha male in the story needs to be on control and his feelings cause friction.
It was a cute fast paced love story set in Hawaii what more could we want.
Part of the My Boyfriend’s Dad series Something forbidden yet feels so right since she just broke up with his son, they are both cautious and mindful of the repercussions. Kenneth sexy as all get out father who witness his son humiliated his then girlfriend while breaking up with her on a retreat in Hawaii in front of everyone, after his son walked away, he stepped up and took care of her knowing she was the one for him but how could he prove it to her after what she just went through. Kacey is a sweetheart we saw her maturity a lot throughout it all, but she is scared because he is so much older with the son also the father, they both father/sons were immature but she uncertain especially when her job and career are the issue. But Kenneth doesn’t see it he isn’t supportive of her given the fact that he is an adult with a well-established career and she is young and is still trying to find her way so it causes some friction yet the magnetic pull between them is just as strong and the problems are as well so are the childish ways he handles her fear of the world finding out about them but can they find a balance, will she feel safe letting the world know, will they find out the hand his son played in the betrayal, will they find out why, will he realize how childish he was acting despite being a forty year old man, and can they find happiness ?
My Boyfriend's Bossy Daddy, Book 1 of My Boyfriend's Dad series, was about 41-year-old Kenneth Klein, CEO of Klein Investments Inc., and 20ish-year-old Kasey Mulligan, a college student and the former GF to his son Devin. With this being a short but sweet story, it moved at an extremely fast pace, leaving much to be desired in its wake. There was very little backstory for any of the characters, and the jealousy, distrust, gaslighting, and misunderstandings were way too OTT for such a micro book. There was too much gaslighting and blaming the heroine for issues that the MMC caused. He even went so far as to spank her after HE ill-treated her and pushed her away for something she didn't do. Yet he wouldn't listen to her when she tried to explain things. Then, after spanking her, he walked away from her...AGAIN...and didn't let her explain...AGAIN. Honestly, his actions were just as bad, if not worse, than those of his son. The insecurities of both the father and son were overwhelming, and the fact that the 20ish-year-old girlfriend was more mature than the two combined made it a sad tale to have been told. On the whole, it wasn't even an okay story. It had an untapped potential that the author dropped the ball on, repeatedly. I only gave it a one-star rating, and that was given for the FMC and for no other reason.
With these kinds of books, you either expect an OTT Hero and instant and intense chemistry that keeps the story flouting, or you want the feelings between the hero and heroine to be genuine and believable, but sadly in this one, it was neither. It was forbidden since she just broke up with his son, so both were cautious and mindful of the repercussions. That is a rarely seen way to deal with the sensitivity of the subject at hand. But the heroine keeps being hesitant even though their relationship grows. The hero is a bit childish and is not handling her uncertainty very well, especially when her job and career are the issue. He should have been more supportive of her given the fact that he is an adult with a well-established career and she is young and is still trying to find her way. And even though they declare their love for one another, in the end, I am not hundred percent sure about their relationship. It felt like Ms. Little used a well-known formula to attract the audience, but it felt like her heart was not in it with this couple. So even though she wraps it up nicely in the end, I can't help but feel like the whole plot is all over the place. Still, I appreciated the writing, how the hero was considerate towards the heroine (at times), and their steamy scene together.
I absolutely adore the men that end up with the heroine in all Lena’s books… except this one.
He claimed to love her yet walked out on her twice! Didn’t let her explain, just walked away and said he was done with her yet cracked it when she said she needed time to think and walked out on her AGAIN! He accused her of using him knowing it would hurt her then refused to talk to her and only when he was told the truth did he bother to talk to her and he used sex as a way to get to her. When she explained her feelings he cracked it again!
He had my heart until the night on the rooftop and lost it. He didn’t trust her and for me, no relationship is good enough without trust. Didn’t even try to talk to her. I’m mad and more than that, I’m heartbroken for her and the fact she had to chase him twice when it was his reactions that caused the issues. Regardless of how she felt, she deserves better than some ahole who didn’t even fight for her yet accused her of not fighting for them 🙄
Imma be stewing on this for a while! Ugh he was amazing until he wasn’t 😒
Safe. No real ow drama between h and H. h’s boyfriend dumps her and flaunts another woman in front of her an hour later. Nothing is mentioned about the H’s past and the h is a virgin. I was enjoying the book and the relationship between the H and h until the big conflict in the third act. The H acted just as immature as his son and instead of grovelling and apologizing to h he turns the situation sexual and then flips out on the h because she was upset and was planning on heading back to NY because he was rude, mean and insulted her and ignored her all day. He got angry again accusing her of not fighting for their relationship even though she told him that everything, including the sex was new to her and she was overwhelmed. Instead of being the mature 41 year old he is he threw a mini tantrum and stormed off again. The h had to do all the work in fixing things when it should have been the other way around. Disappointing ending, h deserved better.
Our virgin heroine goes to a work retreat in Hawaii with her mentally abusive boyfriend, catches the eye of boyfriend’s father (owner of the company, obvs.). The reader experiences this through the Father’s eyes, wherein we are told how disappointed Dad is in Son’s behavior and Dad doesn’t know why Son is like this. It only takes a couple of chapters for the reader to solve that particular mystery: Dad is petty, manipulative, and, considering we’re the same age, as selfish as his 20-something child—tbh, the reason he’s single is probably because a woman his age would tell him to go jump into one of the volcanos the heroine books a tour to during the story. A spanking scene comes outta nowhere, completely insane, apropos of nothing. Readers don’t approach these stories for the plot, myself included, but this feels like a story with very different elements smushed together to meet an editor’s deadline.
This is book 1 of My Boyfriend's Daddy. This story begins in Hawaii and Kenneth finds his dream girl daring his sone but his breaks up with her on the retreat. He humiliated her in front of everyone. Kenneth steps up and takes care of here. There connection and passions was off the charts and it really went great except Kenneth thinks Kasey betrayed him. He went off the charts with her and really didn't take the time to figure what is going until he realizes that his son did things behind their backs. I felt he was immature in this, but he opens his eyes and made it right for Kasey. This was a great storyline, and I loved the characters. A little drama mixed in with lots of steamy scenes. A great book.

Our hero wants out heroine, but she is with his son and he tries to respect that. But when his son breaks up with her publicly, there is no holding him back any more. Not only is he going to make her feel better, he is going to make her his.
This is book one in the series, so no issues there.
This is a short erotic romance with a bit of a Daddy theme. The story is well written and easy to read with a well done cast of characters. Our leads have excellent chemistry and I really liked how our hero was very protective of our heroine. We get a nice buildup and a good amount of steam, making for a relaxing read. Overall, it was very enjoyable and I continue to look forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended.

• Plot 📖📖📖 /5 • Characters: 🫂🫂🫂🫂 • Drama/Angst: 😰😰😰 • Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 • POV: dual • HEA? ✔️ • Would I re-read? ✔️ (there’s very few of Lena’s books I WOULDN’T re-read 😉) • Epilogue? ✔️✔️ 2 years & 10 years later
I very much enjoy this newer series. The boyfriends are jerks, this one was no exception and I’m this case, the bf brought her all the way to Hawaii and then humiliated her.
I loved the protective instincts of the bf’s dad (the MMC) and him reassuring the FMC and looking out for her. There was a little drama between the two of them that I didn’t love in the story, but I loved the rest of the story.
It’s got a good amount of steam, dirty talk, and ends with an HEA.

I liked this story a lot. It was entertaining and enjoyable although frustrating at times. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Devin seemed like a spoiled brat that needed to grow up and learn how to treat other people. My issue with the story was the lack of communication as well as miscommunication and jumping to conclusions which led to issues. It was slightly taboo with the connection that Kenneth and Kasey had but seemed more of a non issue than anything else. I liked how the story ended. It was super sweet. I would recommend reading this book for yourself and making your own opinion. You might not be irritated by the things that I was and it was a good story.
I’m not sure if I like this story! Kenneth’s idea of an apology or making it up to Kasey for being a giant douchebag is giving her a spanking! WTF That’s the mentality of a bulldozer and proven fact that he’s not going to take responsibility for anything that he said but then she instantly feels bad for leaving Hawaii and jumps through all these hoops to apologize to him! I found it ridiculous, very one-sided and not realistic at all! She didn’t need to apologize to him for leaving because she deserved space to think about all the shit he just put her through! What a shame too because I usually love the ex-boyfriend dad troupe!

I loved My Boyfriend's Bossy Daddy Book 1 of My Boyfriend's Dad. Kenneth can’t believe the woman of his dreams is his son’s girlfriend, Kasey. Well ex girlfriend now that he humiliated her in front of everyone. Kenneth will have Kasey and his son better not stand in his way. But what happens when Kenneth thinks Kasey betrayed him? This was a great storyline and I loved the characters. A little drama mixed in with lots of steamy scenes. I would definitely recommend this book and looking forward to more in the series.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Kenneth and Kasey. He's the CEO is his company and he's surprised his team with a vacation/retreat in Hawaii. Kasey comes to the retreat with Devin, Kenneth's son, since they are dating. But he breaks up with her in spectacular fashion, leaving Kenneth to pick up the broken pieces. Even though the situation is kind of sticky, the Kasey and Kenneth share a connection that can't be denied.

Kasey accompanies her boyfriend Devin to Hawaii as part of his father’s business retreat. No sooner do they get there and attend an opening mixer, when Devin embarasses Kasey by breaking up with her in front of everyone. Devin’s father sees Kasey and is instantly in lust and obsessed with her. And she with him. They somehow manage to meet each other, fall in love and deal with several difficult situations involving Devin and mis-communicating with each other. This is such a great story filled with surprises and true love. I couldn’t stop reading it.
A little twisted, but the story itself will hook you!
I loved the contemporary kind of taboo romance! Kasey gets dumped by a spoiled man-child, but finds herself saved again and again by his dad! The story has twists and turns, but it stays interesting from start to finish. It is well-written and has a clear plot line that pulls you in with a good, juicy story, increases your addiction with some vividly described intimate scenes, and keeps you wondering what other evil thing her ex will do to get his way. I'll definitely read more stories by this author!
Kenneth is the hot CEO dad of her boyfriend Devin who has whisked her away to Hawaii for a mini vacation while he works with his dad on this retreat. What Kasey didn't expect was dir Devin to be such a jerk and embarrass her in front of everyone including his dad. However, when Kenneth comes to her aid and apologizes for his son there is an attraction they can't ignore.
This is an intense and emotional rollercoaster ride but it is worth every minute. Happy Reading!!
I have always loved Lena’s Alphamallow men. Kenneth is definitely not that when it comes to actual conflict resolution with Kasey. He cannot control his actions or emotions and comes off like a child with huge emotional trauma and abandonment issues. He finally got out of his own way and started acting like a rational adult that could handle a conversation about a shared future with potential conflict and not actually just throw it all out the door to avoid the possibility that she “might” not be on the exact same page as him. It was exhausting.
Another great story from Lena Little. She's one of my favorite authors in this genre or trope... You'll be glued to your book from the start to see how their story goes. The characters were great, in the beginning I thought he was a little child with his behavior, but that changed along the way. Their story contains romance. a dark edge to it and the taboo and age difference. This was a steamy and short story.

Kasey is on a working retreat with her boyfriend in Hawaii and meets his dad Kenneth. And boy do the sparks fly between them. When her boyfriend breaks up with her (publicly) and humiliates her in front of the whole company, Kenneth gets furious. Kenneth takes care of Kasey and these two fall head over heels for each other, but problems and secrets threaten their HEA. But these two fight for their HEA😍 Instalove, ex boyfriends dad, age gap, romantic , steamy and safe with a sweet HEA 😍😍😍
Before Kasey and Kenneth know who each other is, they are already attracted to each other. Once Devin hurts her, Kenneth goes into super protector mode and takes on his son in front of all of the employees. Jealousy reigns supreme with his son, and he tries his hardest to break them up. I'm surprised that he didn't fire his son and take everything away from him. At least, after all of the misunderstandings that they were able to work it out.
The author has given us a fast-paced older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Kenneth, Kasey and his son/her boyfriend, Devin. The story keeps us turning the pages with instant connection, attempts at sabotage, misunderstanding and steam.

5 stars for the smut one star for gaslighting her to be with him
5 stars for the smut one star for gaslighting her to be with him oh well only came here for the luuuubin I struggled a little with the way the conflict was solved and I did scream at how hypocritical he was but oh well the smut is amazing and that’s what makes it a 5 star short read
I loved this book up until he started to throw tantrums when he himself scolded his son for it. He’s over 40 and supposed to be mature but he started to act like a child.
He didn’t listen to her over a misunderstanding and when he went back he proceeded to throw another tantrum and acted like it was her fault?!😡

Kenneth & Kasey story had some unexpected twists from the beginning to the end. I am so glad that they figured out their relationship and that Kenneth relationship with his oldest son is on the mend.
