4.5 * I absolutely adore the concept and characters, but at times it had awkward jumps in time/fluidity - nothing that bothered me personally too much. Imo it's absolutely worth a read, I'll definitely continue the series. Who doesnt love a yearning sapphic story?
very serious start of a series, and I'm here for it. I love how well we get to know Fuyuki's and Eri's relationship and how the art style just accentuates everything. seriously, gorgeous art style, fits perfectly for this story. I am very curious to see how this develops
Apparently I like soft, sad girls love stories. This was kinda deep and there are so many emotions. The characters all have their secret feelings, and the art is so full of yearning. (I mean look at this beautiful cover. I'm so sad.) I think I'll continue with this series because Fuyuki is a sweetheart and I want to know how everyone's story unfolds.
4.5 stars Ein sehr emotionaler, gefühlvoller, ruhiger erster Band.
“You are the one who said that you wanted to stay friends forever” WHY WOULD YOU END THE FIRST VOLUME LIKE THAT.
This kinda made me have a lot of war flashbacks but the drawing is so pretty I got distracted from the pain. What a nice story, there are definitely many many problems with our protagonists and their ways of dealing with their feelings and rejection. But can I blame them? Not really, I saw myself in them. I saw imperfections. I saw struggles. And got reminded how cruel we can be with ourselves when we are not honest with our hearts.
Definitely need to keep reading whatever mess they have coming their way.
this book is quite miserable and misery is honestly well… dull, but there is not pain without understand happiness you know. We never see the girls happy together, in love or anything like that though they clearly are and love spending time together, I wish the scenes linger more on them. The whole manga they are jealous of other people but I don’t know them enough as characters to really be invested in them.
So are having the worst time of their lives while I’m just like this is a snooze fest u know
I also don’t like lesbian fiction centred around men. I mean the boyfriend isn’t the main main but he is a very big part of the book and it’s not lie, this sort of relationship doesn’t happen but u know I’ve read so much BL at this point any honestly women play such a little roll in any of the stories. they rarely even have ex girlfriends and their first relationship usually is their gay one, not always but women often don’t get in the way of their love. It’s just so beautiful…
I know it’s different being a woman and having your whole life defined by the men in it and especially your romantic partner but idk just this isn’t what I’m looking for in GL u know. It’s not you it’s me and all that shit
Ch 1-16 [ongoing] 3.5 Lots of angst, but such is the condition of falling in love with your “straight” best friend… funnily, I find myself liking Fuyuki’s senpai a lot more than the best friend in question.
don’t find it really well written but I still wanted to know more. The fault isn’t in the characters or the art but some part were awkward in term of fluidity narratively
I would still recommand it if you want to read a heartbreaking wlw storry with childhood friends
