Contributors from across the breadth of the e-book world offer their perspectives on what s happening now and what to expect in the coming months and years.
I was hoping for what the title says: something about use and management of ebooks. This volume is something entirely different. It is about a few wise bureaucrats who are spreading the knowledge and the lingo for other bureaucrats to increase their stipends and grants. It is about fleecing the tax payer, of course, "for the greater good". It is an immoral book about keeping a medieval anachronism because there are so many sinecures that might disappear.
Very good overview of issues relating to ebooks in many types of libraries, though more information on legal implications and licensing issues would have been appreciated.
Again, excellent scholarship. This book goes further into the realm of eBooks and deals with issues that real librarians are facing in the digital collections world. A very useful resource.
