This one didn't do much for me. I read volume 1 quite awhile ago, and figured I'd never get volume 2, and this volume (3) was just sitting on my shelf, so... The art in this book is good: Paul Pelletier on the first chapter, and Scot Eaton (whose style is similar to Pelletier's) on most of the rest. But the story didn't draw me in, and the crossover with other CrossGen titles (Brath, Meridian -- coincidentally, I'd just read the Meridian trade with this crossover a few days ago) just distracted from the main, as did the presence of the First. Mostly, I just found lead character Samandahl Rey to be pretty unlikable.
