Rallying former friends and new allies around him in equal measure, Ryan Richards must do more than just brave the dawning of a glorious new super-powered era in human history. He must survive .

Good story, moronically stupid main character

This story is good. But I had to stop reading it as the author’s attempts to raise tension seem to focus on having the main character be a complete moron. It’s intensely frustrating to have an over powered supposedly hyper intelligent main character like this be so naive and behave so stupidly. The character is supposed to have elevated mental stats. Eh, no. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

There Is A Lot Going On But It Was Definitely Fun

This is a crazy ride throughout. Starts out slow but ramps up rather quickly. It actually felt like the first two books in a series instead of one. Which is great, I loved the length. An actual conclusion instead of it feeling like it got chopped off in a weird spot just to split into another book. Can’t wait to start the next one.

This is just bad

The random nature of power distribution is just to cover plot issues. The main character is a mess. The timid start, the random thoughts, the willingness to do what is needed, the quips, it is all jumbled together. The MC does not feel like a real person. The story is drawn out and the action is ludicrous. This is just a big mess made up of bad pieces.

A decent book

I enjoyed the book, though I had to laugh when the protagonist’s name changed from Ryan Richards to Ryan Reynold towards the end of the book. A few other typos were found but did not distract me from enjoying the book. I look forward to the next book.

plenty (too many) graphic violence descriptions for me!
It appears that it will be quite a while until the next book is released.
