The Complete Coffee Book: A Gourmet Guide to Buying, Brewing, and Cooking

Rate this book
This delightful volume begins with a short illustrated history of coffee, a survey of the many ways to brew it, and tips on getting the best results from each method. In addition, here are 39 international recipes that use coffee as an ingredient -- including Turkish Velvet Cookies, Cuernavaca Custard, Cape Good Hope Lamb Kabob, and of course, the classic Irish Coffee -- each illustrated with a glorious full-color photograph.

This is a great book for people who want to know just a little bit about coffee but get all the basics. It includes the history of coffee, the utensils used, and recipes for different strengths of coffee. The photos are nostalgic and fun. There are many interesting recipes that are simple to make, which make me want to go to a coffeehouse to sample some! I would like to find some of the utensils used in making special coffees drank in other countries, such as the long-handled copper pot called an Ibrik, for Turkish and Greek-style coffees.
