Ash vs. The Army of Darkness #1 builds upon the zero issue perfectly, acting as a brilliant introduction in it’s own right. Giving us an awkward lesson from Ash, a mysterious subplot, and a odd twist near the end, the creative team do a marvellous job of getting this series off the ground, with there being plenty to look forward to as we await the next issue.

Ash becomes a school teacher to fight off a school creeping with dead-ites. Battling a giant dead-ite frog was interesting and there are some modern comical laughs that got a giggle out of me. The show is definitely funnier but they set that bar pretty high.

Quite humorous, and enough background for me to enjoy it without much previous knowledge of the character. Good job of incorporating that into the main story. Wouldn't call it brilliant, but worth a read.

I absolutely loved it!

This was the best same thing I've read in comic books ever!!! I've found gold here. Now I want the next issue right now!
