Hoping to overcome his fear of thunderstorms, young Dennis the Monster figures that as a monster he can scare anything away, even a thunderstorm, and decides upon the next storm to do his frightening best.
Little Dennis, a monster, is afraid of storms so when a thunderstorm comes and frightens him, he attempts to frighten it away. The story is told in rhyming verse which something that I always enjoy reading and I think it makes it easier to fall into the rhythm of speaking it. There's a cute surprise at the end so I think it makes for a good shock!
