I read this book and enjoyed it for the most part. It is actually a reference book which is readable. I disagree with her about Lucky Dogs. They are good hangover cures because they will make you sick. She also mentioned Cabildo without mentioning the Presbytere.
Very well designed book. Its recommendations are pretty spot on. It's a book you want to buy while you are in the thinking stages of going to New Orleans (NO). It has some ideas to fill the time when you don't have an iron clad itinerary. Most of the prices for attractions have increased since the books production in 2007. Another thing is this book is a little TOO paranoid with regards traveling to certian parts of NO or needing to stay in groups. Pretty much if you are going to a touristy destination in the day, you are going to be fine since there will be other tourists there as well.
