This was a refreshing read. A simple story about animals whose life goes horribly wrong when they die and become cyborgs. Funny dialogue and really easy to read chapters with plenty of twists. Looking forward to more fun cyborg mashups

I had a lot of issues with this book... The sentences were clunky in places, and the editing wasn't good. More than once sentences ended with question marks when they weren't actually questions.

I didn't always feel that the descriptions brought the characters & events to life for me.

There were events and parts of the story line that didn't make sense to me, such as certain military meetings that take place in the book. Perhaps this is a consequence of the book being aimed at a slightly younger audience.

That said, if Disney could team up with Pixar they could probably create quite a captivating (if mad) movie.

Also, I must mention the thing that first caught my attention about the book - it's got hedgehogs in it. At the very least, I must concede that hedgehogs are pretty awesome & it's pretty brave to create a story about them.

Someone described this to me as Watership Down vs The Terminator. It was pretty cool and an enjoyable read. The concept seemed a bit bonkers but I could imagine it happening, and there was loads of content I could zap with my ipad, learning the science behind teh concept, which I hadn't come across before in books. This would make an awesome film and there was lots of references to some of my favourite films. A good read.
