During a vacation in Germany, fifteen-year-old Yuna Lee falls off a cliff and is rescued by Rieno, a knight from the land of Phantasma who asks Yuna to become his queen.
Summary In this volume of the Queen’s Knight, Yuna is pushed further into the Forest of Darkness and it seems at first that none of the knights can save her. But both Ehren and Reino come to aide Yuna and risk their very lives. The next day after Yuna recovers she learns about the powers of the queen to grow when she experienced true love. But who is it that Yuna loves? Is it Ehren who selflessly gave his life to save Yuna or is it Reino who let Yuna go with Ehren to save him even though he didn’t want to?
Review I have to give this volume 4 stars instead of 5 because the first half of the volume was exciting and suspenseful, but then it got too dramatic. I loved all the scenes in the forest of darkness and the scenes learning about the previous queens, but having everyone get on Yuna’s case about her love life seems kind of ridiculous.
Poor Yuna has so much pressure on her. Not only does she have the pressures of being the queen and learning about Phantasma and protecting its people but now the whole world is worried about her love life?! What a strange concept. It was one thing for me to believe that the Queen brings spring because of love, ok sure, but that they winter will come if she loves Reino?! That makes no sense?! How can it bring forth both spring and winter.
So many questions and not enough answers! How will the riddle to Phantasma’s curse and Yuna’s heart be solved?! Are they really connected?
