I was a massive S Club fan back in the day (and I still am), so it was fun to go back and read stories about the band, how they got started, and tidbits of information on their first TV series, Miami 7. And while I did learn things about the group I never knew, the book itself was kind of repetitive. Also, the author kept using all seven member’s names when referring to them, instead of simply using the word “group” or “band.” I found that really annoying and just a way for her to get more words in lol. There was also some grammatical errors and even some misinformation. For example, the author suggests the band’s first album reached #1 in the UK, when in fact it reached #2. The same with their second single, “S Club Party.” Even though she states it too reached #1, it too only peaked at #2. Overall the book was a fun, quick read that sent me into nostalgia overload. I really do miss the late 90s/early 00s.
