This was my mother’s Bible, presented to her in 1953 as a thank you for directing the children’s choir. I have multiple Bibles in my home and my goal has been to read each one and highlight those words which speak to my heart.
The different translations make for good comparisons as words are so powerful. This was a Revised standard version and not as easily read as the Living translation, but it is the Word of God given for the people of God and I am grateful to have read what was given to my mother. Perhaps our hearts were both touched as I read words she had also read.
