Based off the description, I personally thought this was going to be a collection of horror stories, not a collection of true ghost stories. That aside (cause maybe that’s my bad) the stories were interesting enough but definitely not what I would call scary. I had wanted a quick read for when I’m in the pool & this was definitely quick - each story was short, maybe 5 mins max. Overall it was good. There were some issues (such as not closing quotations) but not enough that I noticed to really detract from the stories.

The Book Has A Great Cover Photo And It's Quite Eye-Catching. There Are 31 True Ghost Stories To Be Read One By One Each Day. Based On The Book Cover I Thought It Was Going To Be Truly Haunting To Read But Still I Enjoyed Reading It And Learned About Some True Stories. Few Of The Stories I Felt Were Quite Funny.

This was an okay collection of real ghost stories. It would fulfill any ghost lover's reading list nicely but I have read other short story collections like this and I found better ones. I did like that each chapter was a day in October but the collection was average at best. Most stories I have already known or read before so I only got to read some nice ghost accounts.

Fun read!
Only a little spooky, a great way to build up the Halloween mood! Fact or fiction? Maybe a little of both!

I can see this as a middle grade book to read after dinner every night in October. It is mainly stories from the USA, but a handful from different countries.

Not really scary in the typical sense- more spooky, creepy, or just mysteries from around the world. A quick and interesting read to get you in the Halloween mood!

Ever Since my Husband passed in February of 2025. I've been interested in the paranormal. So i really enjoyed this book. I like hearing about the different hauntings around the world.

If the author switched out a couple of the stories it would be a decent children's Halloweeen book. The idea of reading one ghost tale a day in October is cute for kids and some of them are very kid appropriate like the ghost horse story. As an adult book though, the stories have little basis and are incredibly tame. Some lady saying she still feels her dead cat sleeping on her bed isn't going to give you nightmares for days as the book claims. The stories that are choosen for each state or region can in no way be the best ones for the area. I like ghost stories that have more research to them, like documented murders to back up a supposed haunting--not some random person saying they felt "something" in there house. It's a little concerning that there is absolutely no references in the book. I thought maybe the author made them all up, but some of the places are real, such as the eastern state penitentiary

Interesting stories, but not truly scary and no real data to make it interesting enough to go looking for more information.
