From the author of the Little Bear books comes this book Am I Beautiful? which could help teach a child about self esteem. The simple story has a nice repetitive nature and flow.
It is very much like the Little Bear stories which I loved as a child.

This book could be used to teach acceptance; questioning during reading; loving yourself; showing point of view from main character; good book for a personal journal (students write about why they are beautiful).

* A cute tale to be used in a reading center or class library for students who may be experiencing low self-esteem; encourages self-awareness and self-confidence; use to teach students about different family types (this book particular book doesn't mention anything about the main character having a father)

This is one of my favorite books as a child. I love the artwork, which is kid friendly. The story is easy to follow, and even has a wonderful ending. This is a wonderful story for children especially with animals as the main character.
