Grishaver is too exclusive for me on the Chosen People argument. The work carries an overall fragmented feeling and logic that makes it difficult to read, HOWEVER some of his information is quite useful and when he himself teaches it , he is quite good. He describes the Brakhah as the first step in becoming a blessing; the Brakhah formula acts as an access code.

Wonderful and wonderfully readable. Reading from a Christian POV, by the way (Episcopalian) ... educational, inspirational, full of information that we sorely lack most of the time. I recommend this book as often as possible. :-D
