A very short but easy read. Her statements are definitely strong, but I feel as the modern-day church moves toward a place of making declarative opinions that aim not to offend others being the primary motive, this kind of writing is needed today still. Jesus spoke boldly and plainly and has given us the privilege and commandment to be His imagers in the earth, so why should we shy away from speaking truth boldly? Now, I do think audience is important as well, so I will say that as a Gen Z reader and social butterfly, if many of these statements were taken out of context, it can be hard to swallow. Her writings are primarily and majority-speaking written solely on the Word of God, but personal thoughts and experiences are sprinkled in though it is commentary. My final thoughts are that we need more updated stylistic writing on the foundational principles of holiness written possibly from the perspective of relative audience author to target audience (Gen Z).
