She is as beautiful in real life as she is in my memory. With a firm pace she leaves her new home, gets in her car and drives off without any suspicion. Two months ago, I saw her for the last time at the opening of her women’s centre. Six months ago, I have held her for the last time, inhaled her scent and felt her lips against mine. Six months I managed to stay away from her and let her think I was dead. An exasperating time of agony. I am bad for her. So bad… And she spends a lot of time with him now, but I have to get her back. I can no longer keep myself from her.
The battle isn’t over yet. Want to know how the story continues? Read part 2 of the Guilt series - The Battle.
I really enjoyed the story of Dex and Joan but the editing was poor. Dummy’s instead of dummies, Dex en Joan instead of Dex and Joan, and other errors took my focus away from the story. I would recommend that a native English speaker edit the book after it’s been translated.
Still, the story is engaging and hard to put down. I can’t wait to read book three.
Interesting way to finish the book, I feel like it’s found around in circles- some of this book needs to be proof read because there are a few errors that I picked to whilst I was reading
Loved this book so much! Lots of verb tenses wrong and other spelling mistakes. I imagine translating from language in the Netherlands to English is hard. Nevertheless the story is great, and the gang that nearly killed Joan is now gone. I has taken 6 months for the gang to be dealt with and for Dex and Joan to have another adventure. So, Dex has a half sister...and a father who is a drug kingpin! Looking forward to the next book in July.
