While at its core the series has a fun and somewhat new premise, very little is done with it in this volume, just a OP protagonist breezing through the local crime lords through violent magic and later on a diplomatically hostile empire with the help of demonstrations of said same magic. The first volume already had its problematic elements, and I suppose that if you don't mind OP protagonists, you could do worse, but I find it lacking. It is just not something that I associate with the role of a teacher and as a result it felt a bit jarring in addition to being somewhat boring. Just not my thing.
This whole book is in another country, Aoi's plan atm: Step 1: Show off sorcery Step 2: Learn their sorcery Step 3: Profit Curious to see the festival thing next book assuming see leave the other country lol. Also, very interesting how Rox has changed. He seems to be wholeheartedly working toward her goals now lol. One day the thing to be king and he'll be wrapped around her finger 😂 Well him and the entire criminal underground 😅 Can't wait to have Crown and the Holy Woman in Ali's classes 😂 Speaking of, I need to see a mini field trip of everyone meeting Owain. I think it'll be very interesting, especially if Crown comes with.
