This wasn't as good as the 1st book, mainly because it went from fantasy to just downright improbable. Most of the story is well written, then there are just times you're smacking your head. The dialogue is terrible and it feels like the author let her teenager write it. Then, the mix of vampires, werewolves, ancient Egyptians was hard enough to wrap my head around. In this book, lets add zombies, the Catholic Inquisition, the Norse Gods and Christopher Columbus. By the last page of the book, I was thoroughly done and would only read the rest of the series if someone gave me the books for free.
