This book is not a stress management manual (as I had expected). It's 100 short "strategies" for being a more kind, peaceful, and loving person. Lots of the strategies are about reframing/adjusting mental models. The trick with a book like this is actually using the strategies instead of reading them all and forgetting them. Thinking of leaving this on my bedside table through 2015.
A quick and easy read that makes you ask the question, Will this matter 1 year from now. This book will make you reflect and dig deeper into your soul for answers about who you really are, what matters most to you and why.
Well this book started out pretty great and the little mini chapters were quite insightful and motivating for me.....but somewhere around page 130ish, it became so difficult to want to finish and I was having a hard time getting through the last half. 3.5 stars from me
I really loved this book! There are short 2-4 page anecdotes about how to “keep the little things from taking over your life”. It’s an easy read, and great to have on hand. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for ways to relax more and stress less.
Best self help book, stupidly gave this one to a pointless fling and never saw it again. Re-puchased and now there is a que of family and friends, who wanna read this :/ MUCH RECOOMENDO
Pretty good book depending on your own perspective. This book gives you a chance to think and operate in situations differently and that comes with your maturity levels. The book was great!!
Fantastic book. I recommend keeping on the coffee table. Each chapter is short and can be read in a few minutes, however.... take some time afterwards to fully take in what has been written
Understated. I wish more people would read this book. Easy, practical and so straightforward you’d think some of these ideas are rather obvious until you realize they’re not.
