This is a really cute, charming novella. It's a quick read, only 25k words or so. Yes it's a romance, but a little out of the mold and off-kilter. The ending made me feel a little squishy inside, so that's great!
There are a few amusing and charming "cameo" mentions scattered around the book that had me chuckling, too. Nice easter eggs for people who've read other work by Ms Hope... They add to the feeling of being a sort of insider... One wonders vaguely if any of this is a look in the mirror.
