Front front flap. This book has been written with the object of showing the tremendous difficulties which have confronted those who have been connected with the Air Ministry during the years between the end of the last war and the beginning of this one. Lord Londonderry gives an outline of the development of the R.A.F. since the demobilization of 1918, and shows how it was kept alive by the strenuous efforts and unceasing vigilance of the small but devoted band of workers at the Air Ministry. A great deal of new and very valuable information concerning the history of our relation with Germany during the few months previous to the outbreak of the present war forms a most important part of the book.
