This book came recommended to me from Business Model You. If you find yourself backlogged with proposals to write, drowning in information, and a framework is all you need - this is the book may answer your prayers and have you building proposal writing capacity in no time!

The book is a step-by-step approach - it is very much a how-to book with plenty of examples - the proposal he shares for how he pitched the book idea to publishers is compelling in itself! The process definitely "works" (as in I was able to successfully distill a *ton* of data into a 1-page proposal within a week of finishing the book) Now as for whether the proposal is effective in forwarding the proposed action - time will tell! :)

I personally found the instruction on the development and inclusion of a section on financials key - I had always kept spreadsheets separate and discovered new ways to capture key financial points.

My only gripe is the online resource onepageproposal.com is no longer up to support his own proposal so not sure where he stands on his desire to provide "tech support" (one of my pet peeves)

All in all, highly recommended book - I am certain this community of readers shall live on to share their success stories!

This book is about why you should prefer writing a one page proposal instead of a 50 pager. I have followed this advice in my business practice and it has worked more than once!

Excellent book! I have used its principles in personal matters and business planning. This is for anyone who realizes that most people are not going to read most of the things you write if you don't hit major points. It helps to prioritize, to edit, and to organize. Long proposals can be good, but you must ask yourself, "How many long ones do I have the time and desire to read?"

Think of the opportunities you run into where a concise one page summary would say what is needed and actually get read. Coworkers, departmental requests, school age children wanting something, put it in writing and limit it to One Page.

Bring an end to 20 pages of fluff!

A good five-page read stretched to a book, mostly obvious tips from an average literate person.

Inspiring

Inspiring read not only for startuppers. I like the idea of simplifying and categorizing components needed to write a good proposal. Now time for related reading...

The information provided is still not outdated even after 15 years. I can see the great vision from the author. After reading this, I feel I will have my ideas to be funded soon.
