This comprehensive guide identifies, describes and illustrates over 430 bird species likely to be encountered in Britain and Europe. The introduction offers information on all aspects of birdwatching including bird biology; major types of habitat; field craft and equipment; and conservation. The main body of the book provides full details of the birds' distinctive features and plumage, behaviour, calls and song and habitat. The description of each species is accompanied by a colour photograph and colour-coded maps show the areas where the birds are found at certain times of the year.
ok so I have been going through this book for about two years now - whoops. BUT! i've had the most funnest times - everytime I read the book, I chose my top 3 birds of the day and do some reading about them and look at cool pictures -- which I REALLY enjoyed!
